  1. Good point, i dont think it is but will check, we were driving along and a bang happened, left hand door shock a bit, checked engine all okay, then the dash board lights started to mist up so went to the thought of heater, the controls have been jammed so it was on my to do list
  2. Yup its the mechanical novice again, I have an issue with the heating, think its totally gone, I have been advised to test the fan by short circuit to a battery. Looking at the parts manual and looking at the system its unclear to me how to check which wires are the ones to wire to the battery, at this point I don't want to go to a garage, can any one help,
  3. The access may be in the deads re the land, just thought as it's a new building go on the council planning portal and see what the planning conditions are
  4. Not an expert but know a bit it depends on how it's drafted, the big problem is that despite the legal requirements to have an agreement in place there are none. I have seen a party wall agreement which did cover maintaining access, I do know a good party wall surveyor, but not me, I'm a building control chartered surveyor
  5. Sorry part of my business, if work in England and Wales is within, think 3m of an adjoining wall or boundary an agreement needs to be in place before work starts, there used to be an explanatory memoire on the Web, sorry working.by phone on here
  6. You may need to ask for the party wall agreement if one was given, if not available find out why
  7. Brilliant and thanks, I will forward to my father,
  8. I understand from my father that my grandfather was in a bycicle battalion, does anyone have any information about this unit in WW1

  10. Many thanks for the answers, i suspected this would be the case, I am looking for a garage so i can paint the beast and also keep it warm
  11. As a novice on the restoration of vehicles and ancillary equipment, I have decided to sand blast and spray paint myself, This is a stupid question but I have read a lot and there seems to be a different opinion on the minimum temperature of the surface to be sprayed and how long this temperature should be maintained. If we were looking at brick laying it's 4 degrees on a falling thermometer and 2 on a rising one, I am hoping something similar for spray painting, The tin of paint I have does not give an answer.
  12. Went to Paint Man near Doncaster this week and they have matched the paint. Also have sourced rivets, not 100% correct but hopefully no one will know
  13. Thanks for that search pattern, my IT skills are fairly basic

  18. An neighbour when i was a kid mentioned he was in tanks on D Day, and the best way to park was drive into an empty house, no door needed
