Yes we are getting somewhere. Fonderie Millen must be it. They were located in Maastricht but since 1941 also in Stein. There is also a logo FM in a circle stamped on the bottom of the jeep. On the net i did find pictures 2 cast iron models, lots of aluminium ones in several colours and one in brass.

Only snag is no-one knows the company
Nice collection, could you tell me how high the front bow sits above the bonnet?

Did find another 1945/46 jeep toy made in Holland. The company named "Victory Toys". I have found them on the web in cast iron, aluminium and brass. Mine is in aluminium wheels and all, you still see vague traces of the star on the bonnet. The underside has still some olive green paint. Hood, sparewheel and jerrycan are missing. Did not find the firm tough. I can imagine it was in the north of our province as there are/where several foundries .

The truck is going to be very heavy with all those massive parts... 😉

Are there no old ex-quarry staff that might know were it came from?

A friend did a glass pearl blast of his aluminium sump. It seems to "hammer"' all pores close?? Didn't look nice, looked like rough sandblasted surface but it'was smooth to the toutch??

The small clair pipes you are discribing are used in air-pressure technology. I think we also had those on the Koni load-leveller shock absorbers.

A nice small binocular from the German 37th infantry regiment. They were in Longwy, Verdun and the Marne. It has of course some traces of wear. 2 sets of Geman regimental markings. They original leather strap. A little dust cap is missing (red arrow). 60 euros plus postage. But feel free to make an offer.

On idling it has the same sound that old barge diesels have. Great job.

Nice job.

It's bad. Didn't the ducks have nose scoops to cope with waves?

In 1944 they made these kind of cast iron plaques for the liberation of maastricht, that were offered to allied soldiers it seems.
