Fantastic looking vehicle.
It would look awesome parked next to another 😉

Could be an interesting history!

9733LCL may not be British, perhaps Gibraltar or another territory. Maybe a consulate vehicle?
-
You could also try radmill or radmil.

I’m based at Coningsby and the background doesnt look like any part of the base I recognise. Pretty much every way you look on the base there is something. Trees, castle, church, hangers etc. Looking at the edge of the hard standing appears to show a dry dirt road so I’d go with Egypt too.

Which side? The left was stronger than the right.

For a DIY job, try googling diy propane bird scarer. Lots of tutorials and I dare say suppliers will come up.

I’m not sure how you would fit a 70mm bore into a 30mm gun? Unless you mean to hind the 70mm diameter tube in the cabin/turret and have the noise and flame ported through the 30mm diameter of the barrel?
-
Maybe you’re over filling it and it’s venting the excess as I’d expect it to do.
-
Would you mind posting some more photos of your dremmel/lathe attachment? I could use a similar device for a project I have.
-
Also check your brake hoses. If the bore of the pipes is collapsing it will give you all sorts of odd symptoms. They may not even show any signs of deteriorating on the outside.

Nothing changes, I replaced the foam seat base on my Range Rover recently and under the seat I had Volvo electric seat modules, Jaguar Branded (JLR) fittings, FoMoCo (Ford) electrics and BMW electrical connectors. At some point in Land Rovers history, pretty much all these other brand names have had an owner influence.

If I remember correctly, a lot of the tin ware for manufacturers such as Norton, Enfield and Ariel came from the same Birmingham sheet steel manufacturer and they changed the design to suit the application. Chain Cases and Triangular tool boxes being prime examples.
-
Do you what it’s actually for?
-
Leave it with me but if I’ve not posted anything in a few days, remind me as I do have a tendency to get side tracked.

Are you wanting the details of both the M2AC and HB? The barrel jacket of the AC or the barrel? The photo you show is of a post war M3 (or at least the barrel and jacket are), it was a revision of the M2 for faster cyclic rate.

There’s a Landry under there!

What makes you think it’s a radio jeep?
those parts are correct for a 44 GPW.
this May be of interest

I know where there is a v rare 1937 Bren Mk1 to Current EU spec £500, very underrated and these will be very collectible. Again it’s a shame they’re solid.

This has some detail
http://www.enginelabs.com/news/engine-myth-urinating-on-cylinder-block-improves-durability/
doesnt completely dispel the myth and suggests some science behind it but it does say that it would never happen now due to advances in casting technology.

I guess it made for cheaper storage too.

The D and B GPMG was made by a member here and it’s as near to the real thing apart from a deac as you will ever get. He may be able to make a budget version.
The Brens are a good buy, shame they are welded solid now.

Yes, there was an article in one of the BMW mags about 15 years ago about the blocks used in the 2002 bat mobile and later M3. They were left outside for months and staff were incouaged to pee on them to accelerate the stress relieving qualities of time and rust lol.
