Very interesting Sean, as you say it could be a number of things, the paints been on there 50+ yrs so wasn't sure of the colour so played safe and painted mine Mid Bronze Green. Regards John

I Bought a tin of sky blue and painted some on the engine and its not the same colour, the old colour on the engine is more a greenie blue as Austin says Regards John

Thanks for the information Lads, If my truck was RAF would they hold the records at VEHICLE RECORD RLC DIGTAL ARCHIVE or somewhere else as they have no records at above address Regards John

Hi Sean, Applied for the history of the truck but they said no record could be found, How do you know its an RAF Engine. Previous owner changed the electrics and added the alternator Regards John

Thanks Sean, Didn't know you were into facebook, everything seems to be coming together now Ive already bought the Deep Bronze Green paint so will paint it with that. Sean would the engine fan have been painted red when it left the factory Regards John

Thanks everyone for your comments, I Think il spray the truck deep bronze green (Saturn) then paint the Black camouflage (Saturn) on after. Hide a lot of faults:laugh:
