Spotted this online earlier today: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-hongkong-singapore-taiwan-idUSKBN13O07O
Anyone have an idea of what exactly they look like?

It made it onto the BBC News website over the weekend: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-37402646 with some interesting factual statements.

Very nice indeed. Should imagine it is a very pleasing moment to get it moving out again.

This beauty appeared at Biggar at the weekend:

Lovely, without going back through the whole thread - I don't think that one has appeared on here before.

I always read on in awe of the restoration jobs that people like yourself take on. And just make look so fairly easy!
Very much enjoying this one.

Excellent, should imagine that is a big bonus getting the body back on. Look forward to seeing it at YWE.

We decided to go to this show last minute - I hadn't heard about it until my brother sent me a Facebook link. We made the mistake of going through Newark rather than Grantham so lost some time but still arrived in time to see the BBMF Hurricane & Spitfire display.
I'd been to East Kirkby Lincolnshire Heritage Aviation Centre last July for a friends Rover meet so was familiar with the site. The parking was easy & plentiful on arrival. Entry price was £12 per adult, we didn't see any concessions but it was all going to a good cause.
The Lanc was set up near the watch tower and for £2 you could view the cockpit up close. People who had paid quite a bit more got to taxi up & down the airfield. Shortly afterwards we were treated to a live firing display from the two M36 Jacksons against simulated 'hitler youth'. A real treat was the £3 airfield tour in the Bedford OX & Queen Mary trailer. The driver gave a very knowledgeable & humouruos narration of the airfields history with several stops along the way - well worth doing if you go.
The local MVT were in attendance and aside from the two M36s there was a small interesting selection of vehicles - especially the mighty Foden EKA . We found there were plenty of toilets & food outlets and the event was well attended without being overcrowded. The setting provides a good historic backdrop and is interesting in its own right. If this event occurs next year, I'll take the Militant.
The show is on again today - recommended.

Thanks for the report and pictures. Must have first visited this place in the early to mid 90s when I can still remember as a youngster getting a chance to look inside the Lancaster cockpit and have a ride in the Queen Mary trailer. Visited again around 10 years ago now - although only a quick stop off. About time went again. I'll add it to the list!

Noticed a good link off Facebook for the new Dunkirk movie which is being made currently and there are some good shots of some of the vehicles being used.
For those that aren't on FB here are some pictures courtesy of DidierH@u Photos

The F8 taken at Expo in the 1980's
And here it is now, a picture I took on Saturday. Would have been surprised if it sold, along with any of the other vehicles as there were only about a dozen people in attendance throughout the 90 minutes we were there.
Have attached a couple of other photos as well, including the Austin Champ.

Don't know if anyone spotted this online today: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3604876/PICTURED-Soldiers-cut-figures-warships-line-beach-film-Harry-Styles-new-World-War-Two-movie-Dunkirk.html#i-9f954fbe7991c725
Rear view of some vehicles being used in the new movie along with snaps of the cut-outs of vehicles being used.

Tilly on the back of a car trailer heading towards the M40 on the A404 during Monday lunchtime. Think it was the one which appeared on TV during the Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations on Sunday evening.

I spotted another load heading north on the M40 yesterday morning. What looked like a car and a tractor - both long restoration jobs by the look of it.

I've just been informed that there is going to be a second sale at Weedon this coming Saturday, May 21.
I haven't seen it advertised anywhere but someone has sent me the attached flyer which has all the details on it and will no doubt be of interest to people on here.
Notable vehicles include:
1/. GXA 797: 1940 Austin K4 AFS Escape Carrier with correct 50ft wheeled escape and front-mounted Barton pump.
2/. KCE 820: 1952 Dennis F8: The factory prototype Serial No 001. In need of restoration but a unique example of this model.
3/. NSL 418: 1955 Austin Champ Light HrT: only one of three in UK built for civilian fire service use. In full running order

Lovely work. Should imagine it puts a big smile on your face as it starts to go back together.

Thanks gents.
Interesting to note that this would have been in 1944/45 and the vehicle seemingly was still in use.
