Hi Jack This is a very good question. I am also wondering what is the best tent i have spoken to a few people and you need to get a tent that is definatly green! otherwise if you have a normal tent you are normally asked to sleep away from everyone else and you are put in the camping field. But if you look to buy a military tent the prices are well a bit steep :shock: Anyone know where is they best place to buy a military tent? Best regards Rowan

Hi Jack I have booked in!! I spoke to clive a few weeks ago and it sounds quite good! On the saterday i think theres going to be a road run to all the places of interest where the american were based in the local area, on the sat evening theres going to be a demo of a working search light and then i think it going to be a static display on the village green on sunday! Hi Jack Well i took her out last week i have now spotted that she has a small leak/dripping form the water pump! so i bought a new one yesterday! well im changing the pump that im going to put a new thermostat gasket on and im going to put a new set of water hoses on !! So i hope this will solve my problem!! i will let you know how i get on Best Regards Rowan

Hi All I seem To be getting water sitting around the top of the sparkplugs on my dodge it is stored in a metal barn that does not leak and theres as light weight tarp on it is well! I go and start her up every two week and take her for a little run just to keep her ship shape. But the next time i go to take her out the water it there again after i removed it last time! I cant see where its coming from? I have even watched it while it was running theres no water coming from any where! Any Ideas? Could it be condensation? from the engine being hot and then been put in a cold barn? Best Reagrds Rowan

Hi Lloyd Thanks You have been i big help! I really do need to start reseaching more on Us army in ww2! :oops: Im so use to doing ww2 British uniforms! Hi all I have started buying bits and pieces of US kit for me to wear for when im out/going to shows as i want look the part! The dodge is baged up to 2nd armourd 41st armourd infantry so what do i wear ? Standard infantry uniform eg m41 and mustards or/and a tankers jacket? or m43s I also wanted to know where is the best place to by repro boots SoF have 2 diffrent pairs of roughout boots one at 49.99 and the other at 99.99. and MPP have a pair for 75 i think ! Can anyone give any advice on who is ther best to buy from? Im use to buying british kit as i am kitted out for 4th wilts regt and manged to get every think original i would like to do this in US kit but the prices seem stupid so repro will have to do! Hi All I agree with most of the comments made but definatly the comment made buy Richard about the price of mv. I am only 18 and to buy my Dodge WC i had to save very hard! Especially with apperentice wages! How is it that the younger generation is expected to take over the task of preserving these fantastic pieces of history with the prices of mv's increasing all the time! Theres a list of vehicles i would like to buy and restore but buy the time i can afford to buy one of them they have incresaed value. :cry: But everythink in life cant be easy so im still saving for my next mv I also found going to the shows as a member of the public it is very hard to get to know people! But once you have a mv and go to shows and join in you find out what a fantstic crowd of people mv owners are!!!!!! and all of you on here are very fine examples!!! Best Regards Rowan

Hi Jack There was also an write up in the Summer Issue of Windscreen about steaming Gmc tilt bows. They did not actualy say what timber was used originally but the recommend both ash and beech! Best Regards Rowan

Hi Bowie Im 18 and have a Dodge wc51 it cost me £180 through my dad to insure her. I past my driving test last year on the 9th of dec 2004 but when i got my truck in august this year no insurance company would insure me unless i had a years driving experience some even said that they wouldnt take me on till im 25 !!!!
