It does indeed said Daktari and is seen heading along Castle Street from Castle Junction towards two EOD vehicles at the Castle Street barriers where there is also a lightweight Land Rover.

This was known as a Kremlin II upgrade - there are pics now shown - the mesh was to deflect RPG's.

Here is a twin turret example which is being preserved in NI. I'm not sure what its' use was although possibly in south Armagh on Operation Banner?

There was a constant campaign to swap identities on covert vehicles in NI during Op Banner so as to mystify anyone looking too closely. Civilian number plates were changed regularly and vehicle locations swapped. There was even a "shadow" fleet based in south west Scotland where if a vehicle was damaged or destroyed in NI, a "clone" could be shipped to replace it in use almost immediately. -
My name is Bill and I live in Cheshire - I have an old Disco 200Tdi which I am refurbing slowly. Having grown up in NI during "The Troubles" I have a lot of knowledge about vehicle usage in NI during Op Banner. Would love to preserve an ex RUC Hotspur or Tangi but have to find one worth doing first!
