Right at last i,ve started on the Ferret so far i have got as far as taking out the fluid fly wheel and i have to find a replacement seal now is there any thing else i should know before i refit and also how do you pressure test it ? before filling up with oil any pointers please as i only want to do this once cause that gearbox is one heavy thing to pull forward :oops:

Hi mate i,ve seen them at anchor supplies for a couple of quid if your not desperate i,ll be going in april to there ripley shop i could pick some up for you then

I had a few bad experiences with sand blasting quotes in the end i brought my own unit and do all my own stuff ,so if anyone in the north wales area needs anything doing give us a shout

Hi mate i,ve never actually dealt with them but if you don,t like the idea of spraying such a big vehicle give us a shout i,d be willing to do as i quite fancy one of those beasties myself

The engine came out of a mates dads series 2a landrover so it,s ok for the road apparantly landrover engineers actually went and took photos of the conversion because they said it could,nt be done,i saw it in action and it was awesome it just would,nt get stuck!

Hi all i,m just about to start on the engine conversion on the simca but i want to use the original gear box ,the engine that i,ve got is a 4236 perkins can anyone suggest an engineer to make a conversion to hook the two together in the north wales ,shropshire area.

I don,t suppose you,ve got the part number as i work as an agricultural parts manager and could quite easily get the part
