Hi all,
lack of space limits me to having just the jeep in the garage, the daily transport sits outside.

Hi Karoshi,
definately put me down as a recruit
Do bear in mind that most groups do not actually pay to get thier vehicles, displays on site so may be a call to rex if we are going under the banner as the HMVF may be a worth while tactic ?? if not for this year but future years.
I will try and press gang some volunteers but some the local lads resent paying the entrance fee
But there is one keen jeep owner and another friend has brought a Kuble (mind you it is still in bits) keen to get to some shows

Hi all,
we still wore these in the cadet force whilst i was at school in the early `70 s, in fact all our gear was pre 1945.
Also in the early eighties i was given almost 60 complete sets of British battle dress but noboddy wanted them as collectables ,so i gave them away one by one eventually

Hi Nick,
very nice looking battledress blouse, i am wondering if you have taken in to account that the waist measurments on these jackets apply to higher part of the body than what is recognised as a "waist" in modern speaking (here in the U.K. any way.)
My problem is that i can never get a waist measurment to fit unless it is a very large jacket

AAAHHHHH well if it`s now twelve volt then it`s not reeeaaally origonal  being serious i like your idea but following odball comments may be we should all re-read the highway code mainly the section that deals with (PERMITTED) hand signals.

Hi all,
for any person to ignore safety is an idiot, and it is fuel for beaurocrats to try and further curtail the tradition of peoples hobbies/intrests.
I feel that changes have to be made and as long as they are not detrimental to the vehicles character there should be no problems, i seen vintage vehicles with removable indicators etc and some vehicles can be adapted with in origonal parameters. My jeep (contary to other members feelings on this forum) has had the front blackout lamps converted to indicators, the rear brakelamps have had the internals removed and lined with foil just to give a brighter light (not my chosing but i have not reinstated them to origonal spec)
Also may be a spare wheel cover with Hi- Vis material may be next but i feel that as my night time driving (or even driving in wet or poor visability with manual windscreen wipers  ) is very minimal
But saying all this if it has passed the govt. reulations re the M.O.T. then the other ****** road users should keep thier eyes open
From personal experiance the M25 is no fun in a jeep at any time of day.
Better stop here or it`ll go on all night.

Hi forumite`s
i am sure that many here if not all have other intrests (military or not) some we know of, are there others ......
My main intrest for the past 30 years has been "german militaria" but as the prices have risen and risen and risen i have had to trim my collection right down.
At present i am still collecting german helmets (though very infrequently) and Iron crosses (yet again becomming expensive)
So what about the rest of you guy`s and girls ??????

Hi all,
for me it has been civies, i feel i have not earned the right to wear a uniform (let alone insignia). Also may be 4 years at a military boarding school put me off wearing uniform
But just lately........ i have been purchasing some denims to wear with the vehicle, but have been shocked at the price of battle dress original and repro (and i only need the 49 patt.)
But for me weapons are still a no no

Jeep Clutches
in American Vehicles
Posted
Hi centurion,
when the clucth pedal is pressed to the floor my 45 gpw gives off what i can describe best as a "rubbing" noise, this is also due to thrust bearing wear. This noise has been there for at least two years![:(](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png)
But as it no major problem i don`t see the point of carrying out the gearbox removal task as the vehicle is still fully operational.
