  1. thats disappointing, I felt sure that someone would know the whereabouts of my shed of vehicles including the MW and the E Type. The owner is a horse dealer/breeder and owns a farm? Come on guys rack your memories please?
  2. well, this is very interesing. I have been talking to my father who served in the RAF from 1943 to 7 and he assures me that the vehicles were all blue. He served in Burma and drove a Jeep every day and it was blue!
  3. I am starting the restoration of my second Jeep which I rather fancy restoring as an RAF example as the other is US khaki. My father used to drive them in Burma in WW11. So my questions are, does anyone have any photos of the sort of specification, colour, markings etc and would they have been originally khaki and then resprayed in blue? So to restore with all parts including chassis and axles in blue may not be correct. Anyway any thoughts of knowledge woudl be appreciated. thx Andrew
  4. actually to make it easier here is the photo
  5. I put a post a few weeks back on the British Vehicles thread and realised that not all of you will necessarily have seen it. In short, I am trying to find a chap who has a lot of old vehicles including an old MW with a generator body. The man also has an old bue E type Jaguar which I am interested in buying. I was given the contact information and a photo some time ago and cannot find it any longer. The photo of the MW Bedford is on that thread just in case any one can shed any light on where they are please let me know on andrew.honychurch@btinternet.com thx guys
  6. the MW is apparently an early aero screen with a generator in the back. Is it worth buying?
  7. Hi thanks for the idea. I assume you are suggesting advertising for an MW? Anyway, I now have a photo if it jogs anyones memory. Here is the MW with the E Type I want in the foreground. I am happy to pass on the MW information if I ever to find this, just let me know if there is any interest. Anyway the photo.........
  8. well no not really. "Up north" was all I was told bu that might have been to put me off the scent. So it could be "down Sarth" after all. Anyway it was just on the off chance that the MW had been a collectors who also had the Jag.
  9. sounds like a needle in a haystack then!
  10. A Bedford MW. Well not exactly. I am trying to locate a chap who owns a Bedford MW stored in a barn somewhere in the UK, actually what I want is to try to buy an old Jaguar E Type he owns also. I have seen photos of the barn and it includes an old International McCormack tractor as well as other assorted vehicles. The MW looks to be an early one with no doors on There is no body sides on the Bedford but other than that it looks nice, white and red wheel nuts. Anyway, if anyone can help with the blue E Type can they send me a PM please? thx in advance Andrew
