That is what I would wear in modern gear for a comfortable fit with plenty of room underneath, but in old sizes and patterns it was more of a try it and see!
I can just about get away with 190/112 but it must be 190 as I am blessed(!) with the arm length of a gibbon!!:-D
lol i am just tall and in need of a getting a few pounds off lol bloody desk flying job grrr lol
-
this would be the trial PECOC pattern found a load of kit but it was slashed but i refuse to pay top money for slashed and damaged gear
-
Size 5 equates to 180/104 approx in modern sizes. But these are windproofs so they come up pretty big. To give you an idea I am 6'2" and a 44" chest and they are big/loose on me.
hmmm nice they would just about fist me as i am generally a 190/120
-
is there anyway what lists what sizes are as size 5 looks pretty big
-
where is this might have to pop along with my landy
-
took my landy was a really good day (saturday could stop the weekend) was really good alittle down on numbers in terms of visitors but been buzzed by a chinook was good
-
i think that the LH field needs expanding alittle to give people the space as at the moment it looks squashed compare to when i first started going 14 years ago
but i think that dealers with such big kit should be moved to where its mainly MV owners as tbh not many joe public is gunna go and buy a vehicle from them
either way all i say is roll on year 15 and lets hope its just as awesome with no more whirly birds
-
I'll say nothing about the US troops invited to look at our kit (so that they might recognise it in the heat of battle) who asked, when presented with a Scimitar, "So you guys drive around in BMPs then?"
No wonder we suffer friendly fire.
lol yanks are yanks! but they do make my blood boil in the fact that they seem to think that they are god like on the battlefield

Hmm...I thought the "antiques roadshow" referred to the Centurion AVREs of the Armoured Engineer Regiment??
well i am going on what an american friend of mine told me as he was in the US marines during the 91 conflict and they said that they called all the brit army it
-
only managed the one day this year (normally there for 10 days) and it was awesome i enjoyed every minute and that makes year number 14 for me and i am only 22 heres to year number 15 lol
-
well they did call the british army at that point the antques roadshow lol

the brown colour is the green NATO paint after been on for years mine has (had) the same thing before it went sand and green and it is how it is now
looks a nice good vehicle tho and landys never die they get stripped so 30 more landys can live
-
awww no pics of my truck, i am getting the feeling it doesnt stand out enought, mind you a sand and green FFR S3 in a sea of almost all green landys i can see why lol
-
thats a real shame, my dad worked with him when he owned the heavy plant business and i know him well shame
-
thanks the aussies also seemed to get there mitts on alot of 58 webbing aswell which is always good for me
-
hey guys i need some refernace pics of ASASR/ANZAC forces in the vietnam war especially pics of the webbing, weapons and uniforms
thanks
Jonny
-
webbing would have been 80 pattern OD PLCE painted in nato light stone paint (roughly) back line regiments such as engineers and artillery would have used 58 more so.
the old type desert camo was 4 colour but its rare to find but the newer 2 colour stuff is fine, i have my landy in the sand a green camo used in the gulf in 1994 on operation safe heaven but sand and green also featured on some other units landys in 91.
i will try and help you with anything else i can
-
You have an other half and a 'lady'...
that's just greedy!
its the keyboard but my landy is a lady sometimes and less somost of the time lol
-
my other half has driven my landy at war and peace but she still isnt confident in it just yet but she is into the MV scene as she wants an MV but she doesnt know what typical methinks? lol
-
