Really nice work again, Guy....and the custom car builder also did a great job on those louvres.
Are you working outside in the cold? or waiting for the temperature to rise a bit?
It's dam cold outside; next week I will look to start with the construction of the radio table . But the welding and construction nice in the workshop !

Good to here that you have a solution for your problem, if you need more information always welcome to contact me.
I have some wireless stuff that I want to install in my Morris C4 wireless lorry . I am also looking what the Areal base looks like for a HP set 19 , the pictures in the Wireless for warriors book are not so great .

Fruitful day in the workplace.
Rear panel in paint and fitted on to the rear of the box.
Repairs on the fittings of the rear stair , the metal where the stair is fitted was well rotten and replaced these with some new metal.

Top front and rear panels back from the custom car builder, he made all the top louvres in the panel's.
Started with the top front panel and this one is now fitted on the front of the box
Took the rear panel back of the radio box ( only 6 bolts) and had a go one the plate work for the rear.
The temptation was to big , started to fit some aerial fittings on the front.

If the roof is canvas covered then there is an example of how to do it in the thread on the restoration of the RAF Leyland workshop truck on the WW1 forum here on HMVF.
Seems to use a specifically purposed product called “Williamson’s Canvas Roof Bonding Compound”
Thanks for the information Simon , now I have some information how to fit canvas on to a coach build roof .
Now I need to check if these products are available here in Belgium . Think it's more a job when there is some hot weather ?

Hi
What are you planning to use as a covering? Restoring a WWII S56 radio shelter box, it was covered with tarred canvas, looking for a replacement I found commercial grade rubber membrane roof that is reinforced with fabric. It has stood the test of time installed in 1991 no leaks yet. Look up commercial roofing companies and take a couple of photos of your project, and dimensions, when you visit them. If you are lucky they will take you out in the back and find a piece large enough for your project in their scrap bin. When I did this on a couple of projects they just gave me the stuff.
My radio box is on a 1942 CMP C60S
Cheers Phil
Thanks for the information Phil .

Thanks for the pictures bawtrylwt , I now know how this support looks like .
I had a ruff idea that it was a simple construction and I am right that it will be easy to reproduce the spare wheel support on the roof.
Thanks a million .

My doubts about fitting the spare wheel on the roof are fading away.
Now that the roof section is almost ready it made a big improvement in stability of this section .
I am desperately looking for pictures are information how the spare wheel support looks like on the roof of a Morris radio box.
There are some Morris wireless body's on the military vehicle seen but its difficult to get some information from the owners 😕.

Nice in the workshop for the moment!
Making the radio table that sits in the front of the radio box, still need to make the frame for the radio operator seat.
