When i purchased a new vehicle a radio set came with it, trouble is i know nothing about them or wether it even works. i don't want to keep it if i am honest. I live in Tenterden, Kent anyone know of someone who can have a look at it for me to see if its complete.
its a no 19 radio set made by RCA in canada. Dials are all marked in english and russian. Comes with a wireless supply unit canadian. an aerial variometer again made in canada. A set of headphones with a mic. The only connection wire is the one which looks like a dog bone. Also what is the value of this thing if i want to get rid of it. Winter is here and i need to go buying some spares.

What's the best stuff to use to re-proof canvas. Some people suggested using Thompson water seal. What's best.

I have a mark II Daimler dingo. Unfortunately there is no underside armour plates. Does anyone have a copy of the design for these. I was going to have a local firm remake them for me.

Bearing in mind I had to feed and water Richard before he told me I should charge for this info. But in the interest of our hobby I will tell you all. He recommended Champion L10 ( L10C) plugs. The modern equivalent is the L86C.

Come on lads someone must have the spark of an idea.

Any recommendations re spark plugs for my Daimler dingo?

You will properly find the RAF took the rather vulgar metal locker off the front to instal a mahogany drinks cabinet. The Bren gun is also removed and a soda syphon installed in its place.

Thanks Ted very helpful. I have just purchased a dingo, so I will mark it up as a RAF. Any further inf re markings for 2ATAF ?
Richard not going to need the battle dress after all!

Did the RAF use the mk 11 dingo? If so in what capacity? Any info would be very helpful.

Always wanted a dingo. Richard Farrant let me know about one just coming onto the market. Dashed down had a look, knew as soon as I saw it, it was the one for me. In good condition all the extras, ready to jump in and drive to a show. Collected it yesterday. Thanks Richard. Pictures to follow.

found a 1 gallon petrol/oil can. Top has the Canadian markings, a large c with a maple leaf inset. Bottom is marked GSW 1942. The size is different to a normal can this is shorter and 6X5 instead of 6X4.25. Was this for any specific vehicle or use.

Going to drop the sump out of my mw to give it a clean out also appears to be leaking oil, although not a great deal. The new gasket comes in 4 parts does it actually form a proper seal and is it a bit of a git of a job.

During the 1980's I was the RAF each station seemed to do it's own thing. In Germany we carried a first aid kit. In the UK not.
-
I must admit I couldn't find any listing for a first aid kit or bracket for it. But it seemed a reasonable thing to be with the vehicle. When vehicles were issued to units they then decided what additional kit if any they needed then went ahead and fitted it. So I designed a bracket for a wartime first aid tin 10 X 8 X 2.5 inches. Then put a modern first aid kit inside that.
