A few pictures of the old girl after a quick pirouette and a forwards roll, all part of a new years day spin!!

In Olympic terms it would have been a 9.9

You can see the front wheel is about3" to the offside when viewed down the side in one of the photos.

Chassis was kinked in 4 places down its length, last one was past where fuel tank sits.

    Steering column snapped,

    Steering wheel bent(WW2 one),

    seat bent

    Tank kinked

    screens smashed ,

    G/box damaged

    Tub front moved across

    N/S hub damaged

    Combats bent

Bonnet bent, and loads of other stuff

I got a text message from a friend(?) the following day(2nd Jan) to remind me,

"Remember, a jeep is for life, its not to be ditched after

    christmas"

Airline wouldn't accept them as luggage :

Quite probably still there, seing as how they had maybe been there for 60 years before that.

  6. Starter button should be rated for the correct load, 6 volt will pull approximately twice the load of 12 volt for an equivelant loading.

Rating may be either in amps or watts.

To convert wattage to current(amps) divide it by the rated voltage and answer will be in amps.

OK , sorry ,far too high brow for this time of night.

I use TS Autos on 01474 703131 for parts . He is really helpfull. He even talked me out of changing mine from 6 to 12 volt.

  7. A guy in our MVT in Wetherby makes some fantastic replicas of A frames that are true to the real thing.

Only done to order though as he has to have the steel folded specially to get it the right spec.

I can find out if he is making any soon if you are interested.

  8. Dallas have been suggested by a friend yesterday, will have to give them a call later today and see what their work load is like, already lost all of this year and 3 trips abroad due to previous repairer.

My sense of humour is wearing very thin now.
