Polishing can be a pain in the Ar*e though

I'm with you Jack, neat when you find things like this isn't it.

Hey Tim, is it bolt on or rivetted?
-
Hi Centurion, welcome on board.
Looks like we might have to have a northern meeting at this rate
If you spill crumbs on the sette watch out for Bernies back hand
-
I have run a similar thing to this on motorcycles that stood all winter and in the last 8-9 years have never had to buy a new battery for one of them.
I reckon if you are on 12 volt you really can't do without one of these.
-
Hi Bernie, good to have you back.
-
They are like the later Willys CJ3 models .
Make good cheap vehicles but beware it won't stop there, the bug will get you!
-
Buy it, don't worry about the divorce thing, so long as you get custody of the garage thats all that matters
-
Hey Paul, what size lightweights do you need? Just had a trawl about in my kit bag and there are a few pairs there in all the other gear, you can have them if the size is right , theres a couple of Denisons as well but I'm afraid they are staying put

I think they were actualy more comfortable than boots highleg(the first ones anyway)
Ian
The first pattern ones actually gave Achiles tendon problems because of the heel piece been too high at the back, we always chopped 3" off ours
Hey presto boots DMS again

I second Commanders comments, there are a lot of pitfalls and you have to ask the right questions as well, whatever they are!!
I had a wasted trip into France to a well known Jeep dealer who , after numerous e mails and phone conversations claimed he had all sorts in stock, only to find when I arrived there none of this existed. And purely as a coincidence, he had also lost the ability to speak English or understand my French
There are Jeeps to be found at good prices,as I got mine in Belgium , from a car dealer!!
Have fun looking

I'm sure the 10th mountain Div wore nailed boots, but they were more like a climbing boot, will check out and see if I can find a picture.
There were the Mediteranean Brit commandos that were issued with a lot of US kit, I have a book somewhere with them wearing M1 helmets and Ammo boots.
-
And when they are wound around, the idea appears to be that they loosen off and get in the way when you start moving around
There is a knack to getting them on properly but once you have cracked it they are quite good and give you support to your ankles.

These were trialled at Sherburn Aero club near us Steve, there was an article in the Yorkshire Evening Press a while back, I'll see if I can dig it out for you and bring it up on the 3rd December.

Just come across this at my folks house whilst clearing out, simple enjoyment my kids had when growing up.
12 years on and the buckets still doin fine
-
Reckon you'd be on a charge there Tim
Oh well SNAFU.

Just noticed I got promotion, I knew it couldn't last
-

Not that thats a problem.

They do them at £15 for a tan sling and oil bottle.
Only the sling is tan, bottle is steel
you need the bottle to hold the sling in the stock.
