Hello,
Came along these Identity discs of J. Jeavons with service number 14815868 and CE (Church of England) religion. I do not know much about this topic but thought the double set or reserve set would be special. I know the first three digits represents a specific unit . Does anybody know which unit 148..... stands for? Can these ID discs be dated on the 8 digits number? Any other information is welcome!
Many thanks,
Danny

Hi,
Does anybody know if the below 50th Northumbrian division badges are original WII British and are they early or late war time?
Forgot to ask if this is a pair as I assumed they should be in opposite design.
Thanks,
Danny

Thank you Chris,
Interesting! Never heard about this. Looks like the scabbard has a same kind of finish as weapons have ...
If it is a scabbard modified from a Bren bipod it must be quite rare isn't it?

Bought this no.4 MKII* P.S.&S Ltd. spike bayonet but to me it has a strange scabbard. The scabbard has a smooth finish, two rings at the bottom end and the button for the securing tab is also different. Furthermore, the spike bayonet goes very easy into the scabbard, it feels like the scabbard is a little bit to big for the spike bayonet. What kind of scabbard is this? Who can help?
Thanks,
Danny

Many, many parts to sandblast and prime ... hence some more pictures. It seems like it never ends !😁
The smaller parts in labelled bags, in a box, on the shelf ...
Bolts, nuts, washers, springs etc., etc. in jars with oil ...
This is how the Bedford is at the moment. The next step is to sandblast the bulkhead. When this is done, I hope to be able to continue with the fun part, which is reassembling all the parts that are waiting on the shelf!

Thank you Richard! Of course, just like the rear axle. If you have some time, could you please send me a picture of the sling attached to the brackets?
Many thanks,
Danny

Sorry Richard, I was not able to read your posts for the last couple of months. I love all the copper work you made. It's fantastic. I had to show it my father who was a plumber for many years. He was amazed about all the precise work ...!
So that's two compliments at the same time!
Cheers,
Danny

No help needed anymore! The slot at the below side of the steering wheel was full of dirt. All became visible and clear by cleaning it with some oil. Took the drag and the steering wheel came off within a minute!

Hi,
I am planning to remove the steering wheel from my bedford MW for restoration but I am not sure how to do it. I have already moved the steering wheel locking ring/nut.
I am aware of using a drag but the slot and gusset in the attached picture makes my doubts. I assume the gusset will move into the slot in one way or another but will this happen when using the drag? But how, there is no slot at the below side of the steering wheel so this implies that the wheel will not come off that way. Perhaps I have to push out the gusset from the inside of the steering connecting rod before using the drag? Will that be possible?
Who can help?
Thanks,
Danny
