Hiya all,
Is there any CAT boffin's out there. I am after info on a CAT D6 all I can tell you (As the engine tag is that far gone!) Is it has a No29 Winch or pulley block on the back. I have been told these types were used for recovery on beaches on D-Day for knocked out LCTs and DDs in the water.
If anyone can add to this it would really help, I am a little out of depth on this one and I am hoping there is a subject matter expert out there!!!!
Thanks for looking.

Hiya Robin, all,
You know me well already, sorry if its not that clear, its basically if there is a department in the US still around that had ownership on Shermans, like a Ministry of Supply or something like that?
Shipping to the UK is in the plan, Eddy if you read this you can see my plan developing!!!! Ha Ha. :cheesy:
Any further help would be good.

The CVRT is a Strugeon - Salamander. This is a Spartan with aload of crap bolted on to replicate a Russian vehicle, BMP etc. OPFOR are the bad guys and is normally played by a 'Cav' Squadron. They are a bloody pain getting chased by one when you are in a dismounted OP!!Hope this helps.

Mate,
It will be easy to get his service record and info on him. Will be over next month for that brew. Will give you all the relevant people to contact. Could find out if he was on D-Day! That would be easy.
