  1. Don´t find a thread or link about this, I guess, good idea : http://www.ferret-afv.org/maintenance/adapter.htm Has anyone put it in his Rolls Royce B engine oil circle ? I want to buy some for my 3 MVs...
  2. With my swiss friend I´ve a discussion about humber pigs and how to give em right colour. He want to paint his original Mk.1 with a three tone camouflage (green, black, brown). As I know early pigs had usually gloss deep bronze green and got matt NATO-olive at later years (after 1970 I believe) . Some pigs get sand colour if they served at Malaysia or Cyprus. In Jochen Vollerts book we can find (black and white pictures) of a restored Mk.1 with blue/grey and black camouflage. Every Mk.2 I saw before were painted in NATO-olive. Shortly I got a picture of a sad Mk.2 in unusual olive and black camo: http://jeep.cfasp.de/upload/357932.jpg[/img] This pig was sold to a Chinese and scrapped at once. He wants only metall :shake: But a surprise was this picture with a turret pig. I don't know were I found it: http://jeep.cfasp.de/upload/357934.jpg[/img] Is that a free style paint job of the new owner or a regular army camo :dunno: I told my friend he shouldn't´t do a mistake. The Mk.1 pig is a rare sight and it makes me laughing (or sad) if it got a camouflage paintjob of the 90th. Am I right or wrong ?
  3. Hmmm - it´s the german section, I guess 8-)
  4. Both - Truck was a FAUN 912 "Gleitkipper" (nearly like the DROPS) and the Halftrack was a germanised OT810. Picture was made in 1992 at the ULM/DORNSTADT tank training range. Yes it is! Great museum. Owner is the Bundeswehr. But sorry - i have no pictures from there. Great question ;-) The german police want you shot away from your seat if you try to make things you shouldnt do :-D

  7. @ghasp You will find no WWII vehicles in the german museum in Munich ! May be one or two civilian cars of the fourtys but no armour ! If you want to see Tigers and co you have to go to MUNSTER near of CELLE. There is the german tank museum. Yes I have to do that  closed by 3mm sheet metal
  8. @ jack Jerrycans - only some of the bundeswehr and british army - no one of wehrmacht or SS if you asked about that... I have sold all my wehrmacht stuff just before I got my first stalwart. 10. Someone may be know me as the stupid guy in germany who own some British military vehicles. So I found my hobby in 1994 as I bought my first stolly, follows by four other Stalwarts, a Militant Mk.1, a LR 109 SIIa, a Saracen, a LR 101 Intercept, a Saladin, 6x4 Crusader, a Ferret Mk.I and at last the Humber Pig (at the moment...) For the few good fellows around me here in Bavaria I try to get spares and get answers for/about their British MV too. If I can give answers about German MV - feel free to ask anything... I´ll give my very best ;-) Herewith my ex. foaming pig FV1611 32BK80 after restauration back into the FV 1609 Mk.1 type and just before sandblasting: http://jeep.cfasp.de/upload/338677.jpg[/img]
