  1. Had mine for a year now and love it to bits! I haven't modded it at all apart from a cb that is loose in the cab! The only mod I would do is change the tyres to the michelin ones! I was lucky with mine as it came with a brand new engine from landrover and had only done1000 miles since fitting. Nice that it was new and not a recon.

  2. Have a good one we learn something new each time we visit.

going on a D-day tour, want to go and see some of the history of it, been reading a few books and getting all clued up on it...never read much about it to be fair...it was a very interesting period for us all...and a hell of a problematic set of commanders leaders and weather men...ike had a terrible job to do and I can only say he did it really well, well that's what I get from all the books so far...cant wait to get to see the beaches and the mulberry's etc...museums, cemeteries, bit of a whistle stop tour but cant be helped this first time.,..
  3. Good job where are the pictures?

Let me know if you need owt.

Just ended up buying a 101 FC that has dropped into my lap after looking after it for 4 years and shunting it around.

A friend who joined the Navy over 4 years ago finally phoned and said he was coming home on leave and wanted to scrap the truck as no one would buy it for the money he wanted for it.

After settling him down I managed to convince him that he was not going to be allowed to scrap it.

He then broke down and made us the deal of a lifetime, so my lady and I and the bank line of credit bought it.

Im not saying how little we paid as it is obscene.

Just trying to jack up a swap of Ferret sand channels for a wide track trailer to make a nice pair. These trailers are rare over here and buddy has one not being used and he needs Sand Channels but doesn't know it.

    Pictures to follow

  4. Hi guys i am new here and have been looking into the tracked rapier. i understand they are based on the american M113 the variation M548.

    1. is it a worthwhile project

    2. is it suitable for a driving experience centre

    3. how easy are spares to get

    4. how easy is the maintainence

any information that can be given i would be most grateful

    thanks in advance

I have one and they are a great tool! All the running gear is the same as a M548 with commonality with the M113. The view when driving is restricted but you do get used to it. Fast and drift nice:red: and they get loads of attention. there is a place in Scotland that do corporate days with one.

I have a few spares for them and maybe looking to change into a cvrt!
