It is road registered and can be driven on a pre1997 car licence! This will drive over any terrain and will even swim!

Recent service brakes and paint good tracks sprockets and road wheels! £20000

Only for sale as I now have a later Diesel one!

    Pictures on request

Feel free to ask any questions

  2. I'll be there along with my mates from all over! We treat it a a good get together with military vehicles thrown in! So its going to cost £10 more perhaps if people looked after the facilities they wouldn't need to be charged for! The new owner isn't going to take a hit on the show just to put it on. I thought the hop farm was a better venue but things change. The rumours I'm hearing about the hop farm show have persuaded me off going there and I will go to tanks and trucks instead.

  3. Nice truck where did it come in from? Fancy one myself!

    Hi everyone,

im in the process of rebuilding an M998 Humvee and getting to the stage where I'm ready for an MOT.. HOWEVER I need to do something with the rear lights as they are in American format ie indicators and brake lights are on same system..

I'm not particularly good with electrics.. So far everything is numbered and connects up with waterproof connectors and I'm reluctant to call any auto electrician who will start chopping into the loom!

hopefully other people have dealt with this and any advice would be great fully received!

    thanks

  4. Happy new year to you and Jan all the best for 2016

Needs must Robin! Trailer would look great behind a faster L/R Wolf perhaps??

    Well,

I am in somewhat of a better frame of mind than I was last week.

I had some lengthy considerations over Christmas and finally came to the conclusion that the 1 Tonne is not for me and it should go to a better home.

I advertised the vehicle on a North American forum a week ago and was deluged with buyers wanting the vehicle.

I have finally come down to ground and have reluctantly but I feel wisely agreed to let the vehicle go.

I am not the slim trim young man I was and middle age has not been kind to me and fitting behind the wheel is not easy but not impossible but it is not comfortable.

I vetted the buyers carefully and feel the buyer in the Southern US is a genuine chap who will take good care of it.

I will encourage him to post in here.

So the truck is going but the trailer is staying, I have plans for that behind a faster more modern Land Rover in about a year.

Thank to everyone for their help including my chum Andrew.

The whole bittersweet taste was made worse last night when I received my copy of James Taylor's book on the 1 tonne, in which I have credits.

    Oh well

    Robin Craig

  5. Just been and got myself a drops Whilst checking oils and grease I found an arm that goes from the rearmost axle to the next axle seems to be connected the a brake valve so I guess its for the brake compensator the bar has come away from the rear axle looks to have been welded in service(not very well) Is it ok to weld it back on? should it be straight? anyone get me a photo of theirs?
