I read today that the team have found one of the wooden crates ,at first it seems to be full of water, we will wait and see.

I think the tank museum ranks as my favourite museum, but as you live in Lincoln and I live a way from it I don't see how I could benefit either the museum or myself from being a member. If I lived closer and could get hands on I would jump at the chance. There is no nationwide appeal to becoming a member, or is there?

How much does it cost to become a friend and what are the benefits, especially if you are not local to the museum?

Despite the snobbish attitude taken by some, I thought it was a very good programme, cracking colour footage as well.

If memory serves right I'm sure John Marchant wrote an article about some of these in an issue of Windscreen.

The local show i help out with at the museum wouldn't dream of charging for re-enactors or MVs, if anything the museum tries to give them something towards their fuel costs as a thank you for taking the time out to attend. Same goes for the classic car show they put on which has a huge turnout. Plus they offer the attendees free tea and coffee over the weekend. Free camping. Wouldnt it be nice if all shows were like that. The museum gets no grants and is run by volunteers.
