Hi want to road register if Possible a saxon patrol . there is a basic weight plate in the vehicle ,
do I need to MOT it before registering and can it be tested if it isnt on vosas system .
all help greatly appreciated

Be carefull taking it in the lake I sunk my MK3 . Make sure the seals on the ramp doors are good front and rear as thats were mine let most of its water in .
Luckily nobody was around to laugh so shut it down and swam to side . Fcking cold my nuts were like walnuts. worst still I had to go back in to hook the chain up pulled it out with a 432. Checked all fluids and it started right up .

The bracket on the front with the stop ends holds a bag of camo net poles , not sure about the bracket on the rear .
Improvents that I think are a big plus are the drivers controls . ie. light controls on the steering yokes . and as you said the seats are a big + also the rear bulhead is removable for access to the rear of the engine.
Also the dashboard is demountable and on a coiled wire so can be mounted on the outside for driver to monitor the dash while driving

Change the gearbox filter it should go out . did on mine anyway . all 3 we have had the gearbox light on .

Thats where it is on mine but Andys post conflicted so thought there may be two fill points .Or 2 different set ups on the stormer

Robin curious to where your gearbox fill was did you locate it .

They only seem to be a problem for drivers who cant drive but think they can. Plan ahead and your fine . although its been a few years since I have driven one around town .

Not weighed the truck yet . its rated 18ton and would take a wild guess the truck now weighs in at 7 to 8 ton

We have 3 stormer hvms with 2 of them awaiting export to the US . still not got a manual for one . spares surprisingly not to bad anything I have needed managed to get from andrew backer .

I was told 30 grade engine oil . ? . The filler is in the engine bay

Called Vosa today . As I thought He Just Laughed . and how do you think we are going to do a break test on a tracked vehicle. lol . Thinking about it you can use a g meter some 4x4'S dont like rolling roads so have to use a G Meter. If thats the case every mot station has a G Meter.

IVA is more than C&U Its hard enough to get a new 2010 american import through never mind a MV . Sharp edges and headrests is just one thing that will fail.
A 10 year old vehicle imported into the UK is except from IVA so why should a over 10 year old UK vehicle have to go through it .
Lighting regs is easy and its clear theres 2 separate braking systems on the cvrt range anyone that has owned one knows it.
Anyone know an engineer willing to write a report

not clear on this but would putting a pyro in the tube be illegal . also if dummy smoke dischargers are fitted and your a member of a reactant group does that satisfy the vcr act

its got the front gate bumper but not the side bars . got a diesel cummins in it and the brakes are air should pass mot pretty easy
