  1. I use Firefox so this is what I did. go to tools, add on's. Search for Hot spot Shield free VPN Proxy Unblock sites 1.2.87

add it to your browser, then in the upper right hand corner of your web-page by the Icons for home, favorites, etc. click on the symbol for Hotspot Shield and then in the window, virtual location. There are 12 countries to choose from, choose the symbol for UK. It asks for a password but you can type in any random thing you want.

Doing this and using a UK IP address I was able to go directly to the Quest homepage and watch the episode there. There are advertisements but not as bad or obnoxious as they are here in the US.

That worked like a charm, thanks so much! :-D

If you want to see an episode again in the future (after they've gone from the Quest site), I use Video DownloadHelper to save it to my PC.

  2. What I heard is that the buildings on the site (grandstand, stables etc.) might be taken down soon and that work will start on laying infrastructure like roads, sewers, cables etc. but that nothing will be build anytime soon, which means the field itself probably will largely be available for at least the 2017 show.

  3. thank you, it says 7 days left to view in left corner, and then a black screen with "no videos available at this time". So must be a region code problem. Dammed broadcasting syndicate  If I was a super computer whiz i could probably fake my IP or whatever, but i'm not

    C'MON DVD release !

Unfortunately the same for me, the past seasons were posted in good quality on Dailymotion but only season 1 is still there now.

If anyone has a working video on the link that Richard posted above and uses Firefox, I know a way to easily save and share the episode without putting it out in the open.

  4. The main problem with that is: the wider audience think we are all as mad as 'fruitcakes' and we behave like the characters portrayed in Combat Dealers .

I think the problem with that is that most of us, myself included, would make quite boring TV. And while ofcourse things are inflated (and quite over the top sometimes) for the show's sake it tends to be the more 'colourful' types that have vehicles that go beyond the sensibility of the standard list with jeeps, Landies, Dodges, GMC's etc. :-D

  5. Other than the American victims' remains who were either buried on one of the dedecated US cemeteries on European soil or brought home, Commonwealth war graves can also be found on local cemeteries in addition to their own dedicated cemeteries (like in Oosterbeek). They all have the standard headstone and are often grouped together in their own plot, and sometimes there is just a single Commonwealth grave.

The cemetery that my friends and I visited and of which I posted the pics here is located in The Hague and is a normal operational cemetery. The Commonwealth plot is sectioned off by a low hedgerow and fence, this is where the photo's were made. We also put candles on the graves of 47 Dutch resistance fighters who were executed in 1943.

Lots of people place candles on war graves and not just on the large dedicated cemeteries, it happens all over the country but became a bigger 'tradition' only the last few years.

  6. Many military cemeterys in our country had candles this year, ranging from the big cemeterys to single war graves.

    They are not forgotten.

Indeed. This Christmas eve some friends and me visited the Commonwealth War Graves plot at the Westduin cemetery in The Hague (The Netherlands) and placed a candle on each grave. We did not forget these men gave their lives for our freedom and this seemed a small but fitting manner to show our gratitude on this special night. Many other people did the same at Allied war graves all over The Netherlands.

Unfortunately it was quite windy and despite being placed into plastic cups the candles were blown out all the time, but we did manage to make these photo's when the wind subsided for a few minutes. We also placed candles on the graves of 47 executed Dutch resistance fighters that are buried nearby at the same cemetery. The Commonwealth plot contains 87 graves, mostly airmen but also some Navy and Army personnel. 17 of the 87 men buried here are unidentified, but they are not forgotten.

Sorry photo's aren't the best quality but the best we could do under the circumstances.

    Merry Christmas! :-D

  7. Now that the rim is more clear it turns out this is an M42 helmet shell. The liner might be marked on the inside of the liner, and might also be stamped on the metal band. The chinstrap is not factory original but it might be made of surplus German webbing.

For more information you could consider posting it on the warrelics-forum.

  8. There is an even more annoying version of 'no price'... when you do ask them what they want for an unpriced item and they say 'to make them an offer'. If I still even bother to make one it will never be more than 2/3s of the usual going rate. Two can play that game... :-D
