  1. Very nice. Intresting they are made/assembled different to mine. i.e. no. of eyeletts and heel area. The silver colour marking look close to mine in same position. But very faint due to polish etc.

  2. Just popping to the shed......On projects I have done I have used a Zinc Phosphate primer. Have sprayed it on Landi. panels and on still a slight surface rust brush painted. It is a very heavy bodied primer, would not leave a good finish to overspray if brushed with out cutting back. Just a thought.

There is allso a Micaceous Oxide that is a excelent rust inhibiter, if you can find it. I have only ever brushed it on. Under stand used on ships etc.

  3. Will follow this this week with intrest as going to contact them regarding my restoration Landi and another show matter. My every day use Air portable/sanky and attending events and get me home recovery for vehicle and trailer is with the NFU for just over £200 after much haggling this last week, which all in all I thought not a bad deal (Includes traveling to work)

  4. Well all sorts of bits and pieces sorted and fitted. All the electrics now sorted and working, temp gauges move up and the fuel gauge down! Lighting started, but starting with the indicators yesterday, flasher unit looks 'dodgy':-(

Drivers wing refitted and cableing all clipped in situ.

Decided to 'unskin' the doors (they were new, but the vehicle had stood so long started to rot) Was quite a easy job when door latches out and rivits drilled. The alloy had grown to the steel frame, so a job worth doing with rust killer and plenty of paint. Channel's will be filled with ANKOR wax when sprayed. One door fitted. Vent panel rot cut out and replaced, stripped and primed, refitted. Today sorted the wiper motor assy's, cleaned and refitted. What a job that was, plugged in the multi pin connector, it all worked fine (did test before refitting)

    More paint £25

Loctite rust treatment, few bulbs, fuses £6

    Bulbs, few elec. connectors £3.40

  5. You sure have a collection of parts there!

I have here a started thread on the URS with a few detail pics of the internal battery stowage trays etc. battery connection leads etc. and a few other pics. I have not updated for some time, I must as the unit is now out of the Landi. Too dark now for good pics. Next chance Fri., just post what detail you want first and I will do my best as time/light allows.

Sorry dont know how to add link.

  6. Picked up what I thought was just another 60Ptn. smock last night because it look unissued.

Today decided to check over and photo. I was soon aware of some differences in it.

First impression was the 'sheen' of the fabric but put that to never been washed.

The main difference are the sleeves, see pic. does not have the elbow patch's or under arm gusset's. There is a open under arm vent. Other little differences as well but minor. Quite strange the care label is very clean and clear but the 'Size' label is so faint would not photo. Just make out Smock combat, and size. Small size label in 'poachers' pocket.

    What you think, thanks.
