I will start a new thread regards this Landi and the history since Aug. 2004 when I took delievery of Her. Need less to say you are more than welcome if the chance to drive Her again.

No civi modifications have been made. I am the first owner on the log book.

The thread I will have to start next week now as I must load Her up for a event tomorrow.

PS Still have a origional key fob.

Guess what I'm working on for our living history displays! Found exact size tin in the local supermarket (peas only though....yet!) Need to sort correct colour varnish for the tin. Mate as sorted a few transfers so I can do a trial run. Still need exact tin sizes for any other products 70-early 80's.

Looks real fantastic mate. See it at Smallwood? Must find you docs. on how to restrain a prisoner! lol.

Hi Wayne, put a comment on my restoration blog re. my Airportable about these switches.

Were playing me up big time regards the fuel sender working intermitant. Turned out the internal spring on the switch was either corroded and/or weak. Contact made when the plunger is out.

Just a thought as they are a ... to get to when fitted in situ. Replaced and prob. solved.

I have a pair of the 'Jungle boots' canvas uppers, moulded rubber sole/ankle protection. Very different to your pair, see front cover of Simon Howlett's book, British post-war jungle webbing.

Be intresting to know if yours was a ptn. that followed mine. Try and do pic. when able. Can find no markings on mine.

Welcome along. Excelent lloking truck, lloks the same body fitted as one I had to sell couple of years back. Has it still got the origional interior?

Ref. webbing anklets. The excelent photo. album by Eamon Melaugh 'Derry The Troubled Years' has a pic or two of them being worn.

I will say I was not sure about respraying mine in UN white (sprayed in NATO green first) But can I say now I have, last coat yesterday, the Airportable look somthing else. I am really pleased with the look. Will post some up to date pics. on my restoration when sorted.
