  1. Hi Andy

That is a great looking landy did you buy it like that or is that your handy work, Mine is indoors at the mo waiting for rebuild i will get some pics up for you

Hi Simon. I bought my Landi on a wim as my everyday car from a dealer who put it on the road, did paper work etc. and even gave it a 3month warranty! (I'm the first private owner).

All I had to do was a scrape down and brush paint job following the last MOD paint lines. I fit all the radio gear over the last 6 years, 353,352,321 and TDED. Just fit the correct FFR canvas, from Comptons 2000. Fit fantastic. The Landi as given me great service with just routine maintenance. Will post pics of set up in due course.

    Regards.

  2. Welcome Barrie. Do you have 'Green radio's' set up in Your Landi 90?

If so be great to see pics. When myself and friend attend events we hope to portray sig. unit.

My airportable is a FFR and I'm into Clansman.

    Regards Airportable.

  3. Hello Gents,

I wonder if any can help me out with any photographs of 3 items of 1970s Northern Ireland riot gear. In particular the flak jacket (front & rear), riot shield (especially the grips & the size) & the 50s pattern steel helmet with visor.

Trying to source decent pics to create NI figures for our 1/24th scale Saracen & Pig kits.

Any digi pics e mailed to addresss below would be superb, cheers.

many thanks, Howard @ KFS (RecyMech)

Hi from Airportable. Do you still need any detail photos of helmet/visor I have one dated 53. also M1952 F.jacket with rifle butt stops, and I'm told my 68ptn. combat jacket is a made in Belfast one, slight patern/colour variation. Would try to take pics this week.

    Regards.

  5. Hi from Airportable. Yes the 'Pathfinder' is well worth having, great mix of subjects and a good focus on re-enactors. The forum looks great as well, so many subjects of intrest.

    Regards.

  6. welcome here airportable

i to am a lightweight owner and love it

look forward to the pics, are you coming to the bunker bash ?

    regards

    Ray

Hi Ray, sorry to say I cannot make it. Real pity as I would have joined in with friends in Forces80. I have a job where I work Sat. Sun. once a month. I do attend many events each year but tend to travel no more than 30,40 miles from home (we wont mention the price of petrol)!

Next outing will be Smallwood Ches. 29th,30th May.

    Regards Andy.

  7. Welcome along mate, nice choice of vehicle, can we see some pictures ?

    Phil

Hi Phil, yea the best mode of transport I have ever owned, even after this last winter. Up till last week it has been my only mode of transport for the last few years. Photos, see my photo site http://andy.photos.de.com

Still a new site, a few picks of this years shows, displays and kit. Need to do a photo shoot of the radio set up. Watch this space.

  8. Hello to everyone.

Will try to keep it short! I have had a intrest in many things military from a early age starting with bayonets and cap badges, moving on to re-enactment in the English and American Civil Wars (Parliament and the South) which I enjoyed for many years untill job got in the way.

2004 came and I bought my Airportable Landrover as my everyday car, did not know it was 24v, which I soon found out it had been a radio truck. Got intrested in taking it to events and soon got better and started my intrest in the British Army circa 1980's and in particular Clansman radio gear. It is now well full of Clansman and at events I display all types of kit and try to set up a command/sig. post (9x9, 7x9 tents) I do have a Sankey to transport this kit (which I need dont I Chevpol).

I have many questions and I hope to be able to contribute to the forum. I am new to the computer age,and struggle a bit. Hence my delay in my introduction, so please forgive me to answer any replys quickly untill I get the hang of it all.
