Always nice to welcome a fellow north devoner (or inbreeder some might say) onto the forum

The story comes from a local family here, The Ellis family I think, and the local pub was where Michael Morpurgo was told about the story and was inspired to write the book.
Its good for the pub but the locals are getting a bit bored of it all now.

Find a way to hack this site so my age goes back to 38 and not up to 40 this year

Not till those tanks are gone!!!
On-topic - it does sound a good job - but if the majority of earnings is commission based then for me it's too big a risk given the current financial status. I really cannot afford to risk spending more on travel than I'd be earning!!!
Sometimes you just have to suck it and see. Could be a good opportunity...... Maybe

Nice one
Seen any nice kraz 255s on your trip?
Cheers

Adrian B , you need to get over the issue that my M10 Achilles is not a " TANK " in your eyes !!! the only bit thats different bewteen your tank and my tank destroyer is mine is missing its turret roof and that mine has by far got the better gun , and what could have been better in the summer months than not having a roof !!!! , You also seem to forget mine is called a TANK DESTROYER , and it probaly has the best gun in it of any allied tank in WW2 , far better than your very short barrelled , very low velocity gun that you have in you tank .
The first round of drinks at A&E is still with you Mr Barrell !!!!
a bit below the belt talking about a gentleman's short barrel.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I find I can get three kids and a wife into a saracen pretty easily, just a bit heavy on fuel and about 14 years too young for what you need though.

just as an update to this thread, the goddess has been put on ice for a while because of work committments, however, it was nearly there until one of the lads drove into it with a forklift..........................................

Hi
Hows the green goddess holding up being stored outside? Mine developed a leak quite quickly but is now indoors thank goodness.
Ref the Saracen, maybe you should try an electric fuel pump, it takes along time to get fuel up into the carb when they have been standing for even a few days and the electric pump would be an easy fit compared to replacing the mechanical one, would save your starter alot of work.
Just a thought... nice toys btw

Hi
congrats on your purchase!!!
Yes, they are lifting eyes and it will weigh around 3.5 - 4 tons (depending on how much water is swilling around in there:)
You could always put it into neutral on gearbox and transfer box and then use a winch or push.

Yep, maybe the wake up call some of us need.
The DVLA set up at the end of our road (middle of nowhere) and they pull absolutely everything.

I thought saracen hull no. 715 rang a bell there, but on checking mine is 915. Thought I'd hit the jackpot for a moment. Still don't know the mil reg.
Thanks for taking the time to post the details.

Breaking down and holding up traffic is part of the saracen driving experience (mine is uparmoured too)

I think you've answered your own questions!! Too many red flags...walk away. There'll be others!!
what are STV like to deal with??
-
It does look very similar to one that was for sale earlier this year on ebay. Description was the same with issues with the lights and no back. Sold for about £4.5k. I'd say it is the same one so wonder why it is being relisted.
Ed
quick profit perhaps??

Am I being overly suspicious here?
I was told this kraz came from scotland, a boyfriend of gran, some fall out regarding money etc etc and it has been in the family for 8 years. However, the kraz in the below video is exactly the same vehicle in my oppinion
Markings are exactly the same, has the same large dent in the bonnet (not visible on ebay photos). Seems may have been sold by russian trucks around 2007? I asked had it been sold by russian trucks but the vendor said no. There is no V5 with the truck.
I just don't like things not adding up completely.
What do you think?

welcome in, from a green goddess fan.

good result

If you want it I won't put any more bids on it!!!!
no no, alls fair, what will be will be etc etc.
I'm undecided on this particular one, but it is an awesome machine. If I'm outbid then something else will come along
Cheers

is this the same stuff that they use in the saracen etc? You might want to try the cobbaton combat collection, they are having a dig out in may. They had a roll of it last year and I bought a few metres off it.
