Met a fellow forum member when he collected a Sankey from me(Thanks Andy, hope you got homr ok!).
I did even with the rain bouncing like no tomorrow.

Something else that might still come under the same title as the start of the thread. I have an idea what this might be but having just looked on ebay can I find one to compare too can I eckers like!
Provisionally I think it might be something to do with a Gas mask / Respirator microphone.

Andy, I cant say for SURE. But these LOOK like the small Radio table used in the rear of 101 Landrovers. They certainly look like the size!...........:undecided:
Mike,
Thanks anyway having not seen the inside of a radio version of the 101 I'll go with that till told differently. If I still have them I'll bring one down to Beltring and try a Landrover 101 for size.
-
If it only had the standard rear reflector when it was in service and thats what you want you're vehicle to look like leave it at that. If you think its safer to fit them bugger everyone else and fit em.
MOT wise if it needs them then on the side to pass the MOT its a done deal you haven't got much choice. Ask the person who does the MOT if it needs them (age related).

Well from the NSC the DMC would be Z1 ie radio communication equipment. I can't find an exact match but the neighbouring NSNs are Z1 & are referred to as "Rack".
Clive many thanks for taking the trouble to look it up

Probably the only COSHH training in the Ukraine is how to get toxic ink off your backside after using the risk assesment form as toilet paper:cheesy:

I bought some assorted military bits off ebay (it had some Ferret parts in the pile). In the pile which is quite big I have a few things that I don't recognise. Some of them I suspect will be meeting the scrap man but I'm going to pop them up on here to see if anyone recognises them and wants them for a smallish amount.
First things first I have a pile of these, some of them have an earth strap attached so I'm presuming some kind of table or seat? I have eight of them I think

Ebay way to big for its own boots

just in cost u have got to be looking at well over a grand for gearbox thats if u can find one! treat em gently!!!
Cheaper to buy the bands rather than replace the gearbox
Ahem I found one
-
The gear change pedal bit has to be mentioned to new owners and reading the manual for the correct way of changing gear is a must. Treat a GCP like a clutch and you will wear out the brake bands. Then you have the joy of pulling the box out to replace the bands

Way to clean where's the rust the oil dripping out of areas where it shouldn't

Last year I found a infilled crater in North Devon on the coast, in the crater was loads of riveted armour / wheels etc all well rotted in. As I was walking with friends I didn't have a chance to have a good poke around / take many shots but the attached photo of one of the wheels shows that it is / was a Crusader tank (the wheels are pretty unique) - I imagine this is a pretty rare find ?- not sure why it was there - old WW2 range ? there were some bunkers dotted around. I'd love to go back and have a dig around but I think its on national Trust land and they are not that keen on people excavating stuff on their land.......hope this link to the photo works...

Where abouts exactly so that Rick can at least find it and dig it up in the dead of night

I drove my Ferret up to my brothers house parked it up outside after a little while three teenagers come up to me and asked is it real and how did it get here to which I replied it flew here can't you see the invisible propellers.

The average Bobby on the beat or on the move in a car isn't likely to worry about E marks ce numbers or some eu number he will do you all the same if it isn't working when it should be.
Use some common sense and you will be fine. The light board suggestion was a great one
This thread has developed into a slanging match which isn't of any interest to me or I suspect the vast majority on here. A perfectly good thread has developed into the use or interpretations of various rules and regulations which I suspect wasn't the intention of the original poster.

Sadly, but luckily for us, Lagos schools seem to be unable to reach their English spelling and grammar targets.....

A shame we've already scrapped Fearless and Intrepid or the RAN could have had some ex-RN rust buckets instead!
Andy
And free cockroaches by all accounts

but will u regret it?
Most certainly!
Do what I do give Beltring a rest for a couple of years the urge soon returns :drive:

not impressed to be honest many dealers missing, hardly any vehicle spares last year was a lot better .
just my opinion
Iain
I agree with you its gotten worse its a re-enactors expensive paradise. I bought two Davis pumps a distributor heat shield and two camp beds grand total off £35. I spent more on food from that burger bar by the entrance beep rip off.
The only thing that I really wanted was a couple 58 webbing belts I only saw one for £7 and that was ropey!

Thanks for the advice about the Dot4 being used. I've got a bottle of synthetic so will go through and clean and flush with meths throughout and refill from scratch, I see a trip to Northiam coming on.
New servo here
He also has brake master cylinder kits as well
Plus new master cylinders

Heres me trying to be subtle and I read
its out with the napalm
cut em down whilst there away oh thats my idea jumped the gun sorry chainsaw
I might as well add my own cut a foot off the height every month no one will notice the height of them dropping if you do it slowly

tried talking to neighbours there chinese so dont understand english they rent the house and the landlord lives abroad , great isnt it i want my light back if i complain to council i have to pay £340 non refundable ! :-(
Do the trees look to be safe in danger of falling on you're property you're health and safety at stake. Quite a few of the local conifers didn't survive last years hot summer weather near us.
You can cut any over hanging branches back but you must throw the cut branches back onto the garden of the owner of the trees.
-
sorry it my neighbours conifers over looking my garden all planted together forming an hedge and higher than my house i feel like im jack n a beanstalk ! sorry rant over but they are green if that helps , :argh:
Speak to the council or better still ask you're neighbours to chop them down to a reasonable height, offer to go halves with them on costs if gets you you're light back.
I used to cut the conifers back for my Mum with shears, as soon as I left home a visit to Argos supplied an electric hedge trimmer to replace the shears and the beep using them.
If you don't like you're neighbours leave them alone.
Haven't got a clue what it is

Everything helps I just don't want to scrap something that might be needed by someone especially if it seems to be NOS.... seems such a waste. I'll list some more when I go back up to the farm
