:evil: There is an army site that has a way of dealing with "Walters" they send in huge bids so high and stupid that the thing gets pulled and no mug bids. Not how it should be done but it works im told :roll:

The tanks on the Diamond Ts might not actualy be tanks but part of the deception plan moving lots of lorrys that looked like tanks and vice-versa and lots of phony ammo sumps supply depots

:-o That remindes me of one that use to sit in a yard in Woolwich in 1978 I wonder where it went? Its the same red finish i think it was for bus recovery at the time.

When I sent off to Beverly before it closed I was also sent Key card No2 with a list of 16 vehicls WD No 81RD20-35 some have YZ numbers but a few still only show the war time serials as mine was pensioned off in 1958 12 december I have the opposet problem of finding its correct post war number

As I said they are classed as one trailer as the limber is the breaking system mind you the breaks on a LandRover are supose to be better than the Quads

Going back to the Quad end the limber is the breaking system for the gun and is classed ? as one unit. techanly the gun should not be towed without it but then the RHA always did on landrovers and I know the army had a time on bedfords and thames.

heard about it as I LOST????? my 25pdr dial sight and case out of the truck and the group also had a 25pdr anti tank sight and case go walkies is some one stealing to order as my sight was pardon the pun out of sight.

:-D on exercise in Denmark the troops were having trouble with the migrents so they tied the doors shut and left via the rear then they spent many a happy hour watcing the visitors trying to get in You can fool some of the peple all of the time. Personaly I would wire her up to 20000v and wait :evil:

:whistle: just to sticka point in the C8 A/T was built as a portee for the 2pdr it was then converted to tow the 17 pdr in the air-portable role there was a good link on maple leaf up about this and a C8FAT No 5 body air portable

Its a wide track for bedfords we wernt permited to use landrovers to even move them round the compounds it will take two black water bowsers to give you an idea of its size.
