DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!
They are there to be enjoyed. I'm not worried about fuel, but I do drive a 110, if I had anything bigger I would still drive it, sod the fuel, it's my hobby and I don't drink much and a good night out on the booze can come to £100 with cab's food etc.
I might spend £80 on something for my landy and my mate's think i'm mad, well, I think thier mad spending £80 on a pair of trainer's!!
I can do most show's(fri night-mon morn) with about £200 which include's fuel, food and drink which I think is brilliant. From the moment I arrive at a show to the time I go home I don't stop laughing and that's what it's all about
Well said, I totally agree.

Nothing on Dutch television that I saw either.
Still lots of people who remember outside the limelights of TV and such.
D-Day meant that German's defeate was all but ensured.

Well done.
Brings back memories of my restoration outside (no garage).
Keep up the good work

Steve, I like the photo taken in the mirror!!
I also drove to work today, only 3/4 of a mile...
I was free at 15:30 so I also drove around my hometown for a short while.
Jack, very nice suggestion to take the MV 's to work!!
We will remember!

Maybe I will.
Depends on the weather (stored onder a tarp) and if it will start easy (seethe, startproblem 6 volt thread)

My brother and me will go to Beltring again this year, our 7th time.
We normally try to get a spot in the America's field on the right side of the road in the middle.
We meet up with British friends there, we like to visit the UK!
Maybe I'll see some of you there.

Hi enigma
It stands for
Princess of Wales Royal Regiment
Thanks!
I know a few WW2 veterans from the 53rd Welsh division who fought nearby my hometown.

My WC 21 has a 6 volt system.
The problem is it turns over sloooowly when starting, 1 rev. per push on the starter.
Sometimes a few revs and that's it.
If possible I use someone to press the starter (my 6 years old nephew or brother) and apply I the handcrank which works.
On my own the handcrank is to heavy (compression) to get a few revs after each other.
My battery is 120 AH.
Could the problem be the battery or maybe somewhere a electrical resistance?
I haven't got a clue about electricity ( today I got zapped by 220 volt when connecting a wire from a lightbulb...).
Any ideas, advise or such?
I am thinking about installing 12 volt but don't know what to replace and it will probably cost a fortune which isn't a real option sinse I am unemployed.
Thanks!!

Hi my names Chris I'm in my 20's I'm ex PWRR infantry and I like exploring underground.
What does PWRR stand for?

Most Dodges have a removable plate in the load floor which gives access to the sender unit on the top of the tank.
If there is a accessplate its OK.
My Dodge didn't have it and I removed several planks to get to the tank and to take out and cut a hole to make a plate.
Swine of a job because there wasn't much room to unscrew the bolts.
Succes

Did Patton put his boot up the A** es of the soldiers who didn't look correct?
-
Maybe the "vlotter" gets stuck in the tank.

I like the red one, nice!

Only £4.00 :!: I was robbed  I paid £5.00 and thought I got a bargain, i'll ask for a refund if I see them again
They are out of stock though :!:

Got a whole website about the Morris LRC here http://www.freewebs.com/morris-recce/index.htm it needs updating though, got a gallery of Morris LRC pics here as well http://community.webshots.com/user/morrislrc if you're friend is interested in getting up and close to either LRC, the RAF Museum have a nice Humber LRC in desert camo, and the Tank Museum will let you into their Morris LRC (Was planning to but couldn't get there in the end)
Unfortunately the Recce I knew passed away last year.
Fred Sylvester, Rest In Peace my friend.
-
He was in 43 Recce, Able 3 Charlie to be precise.
During training he had a Humber Light car. No Morris as I thought.
In Normandy he also was in a LRC (Light Recce Car) which was knocked out, he manned the Bren.
I'll have to re-read his memoires to be sure if that was a Humber.

Cool pics.
Me off roading in the Ardennes.
At that spot all vehicles got stuck and pulled each other out or winched themselves out.
-
Wow, nice.
Especially the report of the B-17 attacked by a swarm and shooting down Germans...
-
Thanks for the link.
I see Morris Light Recce car under your message, have you got a photo?
A veteran from the 43rd I knew fought in 1.
-
How much did the repro 262 sell for?
-
Seen them filled with straw, a bit light though...

If I remember correctly the Half Tracks were designed to get more or less the off road mobility of a tank with the drivecomponents of a 4x4 truck.
The Germans overcomplicated by using tanksteering on tracks without frontwheeldrive.
After the war tracksteering got better so a Halftrack wasn't nessesary any more.
So basically a "experiment" between a wheeled and fulltrack vehicle.
I suppose it just didn't work as good as expected.
Correct me if I am wrong guys

Maybe they hoped to get a crop of new Jeeps growing?
Not original, what the hell do you mean!

If I see a MV which isn't correct I don't nag the owner. I might ask him "why", and mostly there is a logical answer.
My WC 21 has 2 different wings, both WW2 and 1/2 ton Dodge but 1 not original from the factory.
Original as in WW2, YES. Original as from the factory, NO.
