  3. Hi All,this year i'm helping the organisor's with the military vehicle booking's.Anyone wishing to attend, please PM me for further detail's or visit the website to download a booking form. All military vehicles are very welcome at this event.Iv'e personally been to this event over the last two year's, for me the large Sunday convoy run through the town's & village's is just one of the many highlight's of the weekend. If youv'e never been to Saddleworth, your missing a real treat. www.ww2events.co.uk

  4. Engine guy rang me today, saying engine should defo be ready next week. All i need now is something to put the engine back in. Any suggestions !!.A standard engine lift is no good,as it needs to lift the engine over 4 foot to drop it in.Iv'e sorted all the brakes tonight,so that's another job done.

  5. Great new's the German Marder tank, along with a German halftrack (OT810) are now confirmed. This year the battlefield is set in 30acres,we already have several ww2 tanks booked in inc a live firing Chaffee,Hellcat,Marder & Panzer 111 (reconstruction) .Along with a very rare original 1933 carden loyd carrier & a Cromwell tank both on their first outing.Along with a rare M4 High speed tractor, several American halftrack's & Daimler dingo's. Four live firing 25 pounder field gun's,will also be in action. There will be full living history on the battlefield, incorporating several British,American & German reenactment groups. We will be digging trenchs, dugout's,artillery, mortor & machine gun pitts at both end's of the field. The battle will be on both day's & last one hour.We already have 28 re-enactment groups booked in from the First World War right up to more recent conflict's.We also have a large amount of ww2 British vehicles booked in,which is a rare sight at any show.Inc three rare Guy Ants (original radio & two GS trucks). For anyone wishing to enter, booking form's can be downloaded off our website.

  6. Hi Tony, she'll be ready mate apart from the maxim turret. That will be another 6-12months,but at least I've got most of the parts i need.Hopefully we should have, four to five HTs for Elvington plus an M4 high speed tractor.Would be nice to see your M8 there as well !!!!

  7. Hi All,The HT project is coming on nicely, all the floor locker lids are now in place along with all the front seats. The newly made fuel tanks arrived today, along with the covers. The newly recored radiator is now been refitted.Ken's on with re-wiring the HT. The engine rebuilding's told me yesterday the engine should be ready to collect sometime next week.A good friend of mine has made all new seat cover's front & back. All the fuel tank pipes Along with all the brake pipes have been made ready to fit.Iv'e unfortunatly had to buy a new clutch assembly as the all one was tired to say the least.Iv'e also had a new exhaust pipe system made,by commercial & plant exhaust system's.There on our website www.ywe-event.info If anyone's interested in new HT fuel tank's,i can forward the detail's of the company i used to make by two.I'll hopefully get Ken to put some more pic's up later.Hopefully she'll be ready for the Elvington show in May.
