  1. No the hull was a standard Mk10 03EB35 the RR engined variant was the Chieftain 900, the turret and hull of Chieftain 900 were de-coupled and the hull 56MS78 went to Lulworth as a target and the 900 turret was fitted to 03EB35 and was used in tests by Marconi and BAE systems.

So does that mean then that the one that withams have up for sale is leyland engined or rr ?

  2. Well i did have the idea of ringing duxford military vehicle wing as i know them very well as i used to work there from 1997 onwards in the hope that they would jump at the chance of allowing me to keep it there but im not sure if they have 40 acres to spare more like 20 but it would be a benefit to them and to me i always think ahead and have a plan b guess it all might hang on their answer .

  3. Well im planning to sell off my fv 432 rarden and saracen mk6 kremlin should i get it as it would be the pride of my collection i think then the misses wouldnt mind so much but this might turn out to be a game of mechanised chess

  4. Can anyone shed any light on the chieftain 2000 on withams tender ie does anyone know what that status of it is ie is it a runner ?

And would it be a better here and now investment rather than waiting for the challengers to come out ? And how could i hide it from the misses ? Your thoughts please on this ! as it could be my first mbt.

    thanks

  5. hi does this mean that the chieftian 2000 is a non runner please forgive me im a little confused ! the vehicle on the tender is now at 13 something grand in other words some one is going to potentialy spend 13 thousand on a vehicle that doesnt run ????? or is it just the other mk 10 mbts that dont run? would love to know as theyve said they had the 2000 running in the ad on their tender

im scratching my head over this !

  6. hi

I have petlas nato stock 900 x16 tyres which are new from a tyre company on both my ferrets.

And to be honest their far better than trackgrip or bar grip when on the road in rain and off road the side wall issue was something i was reluctant at first but after a bit of homework they have proved to be a great reliable replacement.

If you want any info on the tyre then just email me !

    regards
