Made and fitted rear end of exhaust today. Bit tricky as the Owners manual does not show it very clearly. Totally changes the sound of the engine and the noise in the cab.

Well as i had no replies on this i used the very minor illustrations in the owners manual's and worked out the route. Came out pretty good. Totally changes the sound of the Bedford and best of all the noise in the Cab!!

I've been considering for some time buying a Universal Carrier.
Not having any knowledge of them whatsoever it would be nice to have an insight from someone that knows regarding ownership. For instance the transportation needed to take to shows, read legal tracks availability and cost etc, spares availability. Any other do and dont's, what to look for when buying etc etc.
Any info would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

I'm looking to fit a copy ZS Oil Filter on my MW (currently has a post war replacement). Does anyone know where i could get the brass? lines and fittings to enable me to install it or is it a question of getting some made up?
Thanks

Just wondered what my fellow MW owners are taking in the way of spares to Normandy (apart from the usual Plugs, Points, Condenser, Fan Belt, Rotor Arm, Bulbs and Fuel Pump repair kit?
I didnt take much in 2012 but feel i might not be as luckly this year. I did pack a Head Gasket though!! :wow:
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I urgently need a photo or diagram showing how the rear exhaust section is fitted to the chassis rail on a Bedford MW.
I have had an exhaust made up and i need to fabricate a mounting bracket and find it's correct position.
Hope someone can help!!
Thanks

Hi guys,
Just doing me pre France vehicle maintenance.
Can someone please advise of the engine oil weight for an MW. Thought i'd seen it on here somewhere but cannot find it.
I use the Halfords Classic 20w50 (Green/Cream tin) in the Jeep. Would the same be ok in the Bedford or not??
Thanks
Richard

Yes please do. Think it will be a little busier compared to when we bumped into each other in 2012!!

Thanks Snort,
Just called him...£4 per inch which is a really good price so gonna send them off tomorrow.
Least i will be able to see in the dark in France now!!
Thanks for your help.

Hi Guys,
I have Butler's on my Jeep and the reflectors are really tarnished so the lights are poor. Does anyone have any better ones spare that they would let go or any tips to get them in a better shape? I've neen quoted £120 for re-silvering which seems very expensive to me.
Thanks

Nice one....thanks.

Richard, all those bits were in your truck , have they been thieved?
Everyone. Check bottom left on this page for a few useful new MW parts including rad springs.
Maybe i'm being a bit thick Duncan ? I have not actually checked i have the parts fitted...just assumed i didnt as i'd experenced a few gushes! Mind you...that was on a very hot Beltring day, 3 hours non stop driving.
