  1. Hi Mike,

You are correct!! John Mortor does them £105 plus the old unit in exchange.

Only difference is that it needs to be wired Negative earth.

From the outside they are original CAV's, but have modern internals.

Perfect solution.....thanks for the heads up.

    Cheers

    Richard

  2. Hi all,

I desperately need some measurements of the triple hoop bracket / guide that fits to the front body of the MW. I know the two hoops are just over an inch in diameter but need to know the size of the square section.

If anyone has any old ones for sale i would be very interested,

    Thanks

    Richard

  3. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions chaps. It IS a Dynamo and Control box set up.....just my rubbish description!! I did some basic checks today using a tester and have charge coming out of the Dynamo but nothing getting too the battery so it does point to a fault in the control box as you suggested Richard. Are these repairable or is it a case of replacing?

  4. Hi,

My A&R pipe worked loose and melted on the Manifold at the end of last season, so i need a replacement. I have found the same thing on ebay for a classic Mini. My question is are these pretty much a standard fitting or do i need to find a specific one?

Also, for my knowledge....what does it actually do?

    Thanks

    Richard

  5. Thanks for the feedback and info.

I would not describe it as a Bivouac type tent as it sits too high (approx 5ft). Its very similar in design/size of the British Officers 2 man tent of the type now made by Soldier Of Fortune, but with much lower side walls and the addition of the Flyscreens.

I will purchase some poles and set it up, then take some photos. Hopefully i may find some markings although nothing obvious so far.

  6. Thanks guys.

The mesh is quite fine...i was surprised that it was still intact and undamaged.. I read somewhere else that it's rare to find the nets still attached as they were often removed post war.

Clive, do you have dates for the two types you have liisted?

    Thanks

    Richard

  7. Looking for recommendations for a house or cottage that will sleep 6 to rent in Normandy for our 2016 visit.

Always camped previous years but weather has never been that great!

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Richard

  8. Another of this weekends finds at my local dump. Any ideas? Interesting in that it has a small opening that would have been laced together i assume, which is then covered with a flap. Newney press studs but no other markings that i can see.

    Any ideas?
