Has anyone ever used these? Would it be a hexi block that goes into the tray for warming purposes? Were they any good or good for nothing? These are the three I have, the small suitcase type ones are unused, just slightly battered from years in storage.

Has anyone noticed the large increase in price they are being advertised at on ebay. When I bought the few I have they were no more then £25 - £30 each.

Just got to keep looking out for that elusive bargain.

The gearbox too was Martian specific. There are some manuals listed on ebay, or just check out green machine surplus website, and if still around vintage mv manuals.

Are you after a certain type of Martian? Dave Crouch had an FV1103 advertised a while back.

Could that relay valve be part of the trailer braking system? As opposed to the vehicle system, just thinking as the Martian has two relay valves, one for the truck and one for a trailer. Is the trailer hand valve ok.

Hmmmmm, not sure what to make of that. The radar station was at Ventnor, located on St Boniface Downs. The picture they show in the article is of Freshwater Bay.

They are fixed in place by captive nuts on the padding backing and bolts or screws not sure which, that are on the outside of the cupola. There are three per pad. No doubt rusted solid.

I'm sure Stephen Green had some of these in his yard once, but that would've been years ago.

The NRV is located in the end of the pump, accessible by unscrewing the short brass bit from the pump tube.

Was at Coningsby this afternoon to see her come in. Sunderland airshow was pulled forward by 90 mins because of weather, Lanc developed fault in no2 engine, but crews managed a quick fix to get her home. So she flew straight back without doing any scheduled flypasts she was meant to, the fighters performed their displays, so all got home early.

The delay this year in getting her airbourne was due to problems with fuel lines and tank plumbing.

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the legendary Lancaster. The prototype Manchester III BT308 first flew on this day in 1941, and of course went on to become the icon it is today.

Hi John, are the hoses not clamped together? My Martian brake hoses come apart, the clamps hold together both the connectors and the steel coil spring. I bought new hose from ebay, though I have seen someone selling armoured hose in lengths.
