Well, not updated this for awhile. So cracking on again, started to repair rear body steelwork. O/s first then strip n/s to do same. Also stripping back flaky paint from the chassis and coating in a good cover of red oxide. Favourite tool is the needle descaler.
Quality rot as you can see.
And in with the new.

Hi Rob, welcome aboard.

Would anyone know what the RAL or BS number is for the colour of the no 2 and 3 cookers. Not the original vulgar green but later one. Looking at colour charts the closest it seems to me is BS 284 Spruce Green, but is it?
TIA
Simon

Dear All,
The pic of the prop shaft shows why I think that it is too long and would benefit from a centre bearing. The Martian is good for 30 MPH but any more risks ripping out the back of the transfer box as I have observed in previous posts.
Well done for spotting the crack in the ball joint. The ball on the right of the two looks to be bent! Is it? What on earth has happened to the vehicle to cause that damage.
John
The lwb cargo truck does have a centre bearing.

All types are the same. Well unless there happens to be a rogue with the Mk1 system still in place.

I have a load of ht leads that I don't know what they fit. Four types of lead.
Firstly, these are approx 23" long, braided under the black covering.
Secondly, these are approx 14.5" long.
Thirdly, these are approx 10" to the elbow, all are marked 1 on the band. I think maybe Land Rover?
Lastly these two are approx 24" long.
All help appreciated.

What width are the rods? This would give size of bore which helps a lot.
Will measure diameter.
