  1. Hi, tubes are not numbered and 9&5 are not in my frame (even the connections don't allow to use these tubes). On the picture, you see the connectors you have to look for. Piet
  2. OK...assuming that the recovery trailer I have is based on a similar trailer that carried generator sets, FV2406 Trailer Flat Platform 2.5 tonne, 2 wheeled. (stated by Richard and very likely): could someone tell me the tyre pressure it needs (as I don't have a manual...)? Piet
  3. Bastian, I think the short ones are OK as they have appr the same lenght as the ones for the curtain. My tubes are as the drawing states. Connections are not the heavy type, but similar to 12x12 ones -> they have a different shape (and maybe angle). I don't have a blackout curtain, but I can imagine that the fabric will be similar to the black out curtains in communication bodies eg. My frame doesn't have the "metal wire" crosses. Once on a show, I saw a TA unit with this shelter, not using the wires. The picture is somewhere on this forum. Hope this helps. Piet
  4. it's for the shelter on the side of a transportable container
  5. Problem solved, found the maintenance shedule!
  6. What oil/grease do I have to put into the swivels of the Leyland/DAF 4 tonner? Piet
  7. We are looking for a place to camp to attend the celebrations in the British sector. So somewhere inbetween Arromanche and Pegasus would be ideal! Does anyone has a lead? Piet
  8. Hello everyone! This saturday we are traveling from Dover to Southampton over the M20 - M25 - M3 (and back). We would like to use the occasion to buy a set of British bolts and nuts (UNF,....). Can someone point us into the direction of a good hardware store stocking these and being on our way? A military surplus (our interest is British postwar!) is also welcome! Thanks Piet
  9. Hello Mark, we would like to visit this event. Please keep us informed if you organise a convoy. Piet
  10. I'm looking for all info on Recce Lightweights used by the Para regiment. I urgently need pictures of those vehicles an the kit that is added. Someone any lead for that kit? Or drawings to make replicas? Many thanks Piet mail: carawagon at telenet dot be
  11. Any idea why it has written in Dutch on it?
  12. OK, here's an update: the braking system as it is on the trailer didn't pass "MOT". I'm going to register it downrated to 3500 kgs, so I have to bring it back to the normal overrun braking system. Is there somebody who has pictures or drawings of these systems (eg on arrow trailers)-SACCOL seemes to be the manufacturar. Is there any lead to someone who sells these systems or has spare parts for them. Or is someone breaking one? Thanks Piet
  13. I will follow this with great interest. It's CVRT and ......Belgian !! (for the time remaining) Piet
  14. Thanks Guys! So I suppose as they are on the picture, they serve only to cover the lowest part of the vehicle. Piet
  15. Hello, I would like to know what the real or exact function is of the black canvasses (woven) you sometimes see on British vehicles. They are mostly rolled up and hang alongside the vehicles (as on this picture). Piet

Hello all, is there any possibility to get a list with all FV numbers and related item descriptions? So not only the vehicles but also the parts and small items? Piet
  20. Thanks Richard, such reactions are always a motivation to continue! Piet
  21. Hello all, Still no more info on the trailer, but as you see on the pictures I'll do what it is bought for! Let's hope registration goes well! CU Piet
  22. Hello, the trailer arrived yesterday and as thought, the main ID plate is missing. FV666350 is the FV number on the small plate The number of the MOD barcode is 00000553691365139021 Can anyone tell me what it is by these numbers? Piet
  23. OK so that won't be a source of information. I would like to try the musuem that holds the records on vehicles. Does anybody have information on them? Piet
  24. Rubery Owen, are they still in business? Do they still supply MOD?
