  1. Does anyone recognise this oiler? Is it MoD or civilian? it could be RAF as my uncle was in service from about 36 to 1953 and was involved in ground crew work. It is quite heavy - almost 1kg! and is extremely well made. 10.5" long x 1.5" diameter. Marked "O.S. 6252🔝(without the TOP!!) Please keep clean and use only specified oil". Nickel plated and in good condition. Any ideas / comments appreciated Thanks in advance Bill
  2. Whilst sorting out to down size, I have this ammo box in wood. It's 16" long 4.5" wide and 9" high. Has been used as a tool box probably by my uncle who was in the RAF from about 1926 to 1958. Check the photos for condition. It's marked .303 Ball Mk 7 ctn P.L 31-12-49 F. I can post it...is it worth £10 before it goes on fleabay? Bill
  3. We keep a scrap bin under the bench so that mistakes can be referred to later!! It's surprising how often these bits are used for other parts. But the old saying is true " The person who never made a mistake never made anything!!"

  8. Does anyone recognise these? Not sure if they have a military application but they are painted green. 18.5" long x 6" to the centre of the mounting holes. I only have these 4 and they are for sale cheaply if anyone has a use for them. More pics if required. Thanks for taking the time to look

  10. Booklet, 32 pages on the subject of working aluminium alloys. Dated 1944 but date stamped 21 Apr 1945 on the cover. It's about A5 size and was issued by the Wrought Light Alloys Development Association based in Birmingham. Well illustrated. Any interested out there for £2 + postage??
  11. This book has now sold but I have another title which might be of interest to members especially those tackling pre WW1 rebuilds. Dynamos and Electric Motors; how to make and run them. Edited by Paul N Hasluck and Published in 1901. 159 pages with good index and plenty of line drawings & illustrations. £2 + post would cover it

  13. Diesel Maintenance by T H Parkinson 1946 manual for diesel engined vehicles. Handy little book 7" x 4.5"; 222 pages with index and ads. First published in 1942 this is a 1946 reprint £2 plus postage Bill

  18. Anyone interested in this? Great book with pics starting first world war era ; tanks and tracked vehicles 173 pages. Good read in the long dark winter evenings when you can't see in the workshop or play outside! Will post pics if you'd like some. £10 including UK postage. Anywhere in the world at cost.
