  1. This is the rest of the kit for a soldier of the Mounted Sections of the Commissariat & Transport Corps 1884. You can just guess one object at a time if you like. There is some latitude with DEFGHI & LMNO any order will do. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/TCKit2.jpg[/img]
  2. Yes well done Sue. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v684/fv1620/Xmasobject.jpg[/img] There is a follow up pic quiz from this era watch this space
  3. Not trousers of any sort. It is a belt & buckle. The illustration shows how it should be stored in the barracks. At kit inspection the soldier should hold this equipment over his right arm.
  4. Nope. Its to do with soldiers, who may also happen to ride horses.
  5. I thought Neil we were either going to have an argument or you would have thought it through. Yup very well done! In fact 1884
  6. Hm tempted by the shiny thing I must say. Trouble is I don't like narrow places, I have been round the catacombs of Exeter & Paris was fascinated. Also some RSGs & I have a copy of the Committe of 100 publication in 1960s of the details of all RSGs. I remember the Devon one was Kingsbridge 2611, I use to ring it up when I was a schoolboy.
  7. Glad you've got one ready, but it isn't the festive mystery object I'm afraid.
