  2. Hi Richard Thanks for that info on the paint I will have a look. When I bought the truck i was told that it was ex raf so that would tie in with what you have suggested about the resevoir. does the vacuum pipe from the manifold go directly to the booster? regards Kevin
  3. Hi, does anyone know of the correct colour for the interior of a Bedford QLR? I think its a shade of light green but I am not sure, if anyone knows the RAL colour that would be even better. also does anyone know of the correct shade of green for the exterior paintwork, I appreciate this is a hotly debated subject and there would have been many shades depending on the mix etc, but is there a known standard colour or code? Secondly does any body know how the brake vacuum resevoir for the brakes should be plumbed in? My Truck has has had the resevoir disconnected and i would like to re enstate it, I have done several internet searches for desciptions or drawings all to no avail, I can suss out an inlet and outlet and I presume it makes no difference which tapping is used for an inlet or outlet, one tapping is also for a drain off point, any info will be gratefully recevied. Regards kevin
  4. Hi Howard, I have been watching your restoration with interest and amazement, you have achieved so much in such a short space of time, are you doing this single handed or do you have a team of workers ?! very impressed. I started to restore my 352 in spring and I still have not completed the refurbishment of the drive train or painted the chassis! Perhaps I should post some pics when I have got further on, so I can at least try to give the illusion of progress !! I am looking forward to see your truck completed, of course with your progress so far I imagine it will be complete by the end of july !:cool2: regards Kevin
  5. Hi Guys excellent and informative thread, the before and after pics are great
  6. Hi Clive, Count me in 1x GMC 352 I came to the last event as a passenger one of the best weekends ever, 3 to 5 days would be spot on, more than happy to pay an entrance fee, perhaps a some food and drink on the chosen site? perhaps a portion of an entrance fee could go to a good cause within the ex military movement, would it be worth having a map of the local area showing the fuel stations, for those people who do not know the area. As I recall there were a few people caught out on the last event. Being as the event is very time consuming to organise is there anything that the rest of us (members)can do to ease the load? I dont mind if it rains again as my jimmy has a hard cab and 12 volt wipers!
