Thanks Tony i expect you will be coming up with some more items soon but meantime here are some more i have

1. it says enjoying the soccer match and i am sure thats a Albion IGL in the background so it points to RAF or maybe RAF verses ARmy match.

2 Not sure if the guy who took this shot featured on his bed or the Ford but we got both

3 A bunch of RAF types and a 15cwt CMP

I hope you dont think this to be some sort of hi jack but if you dont mind this thread would be a good place to expand on the subject of WW2 snapshots. Whilst professional photos are excellent it is those i suppose of the cuff photos that really tell the story and to place them on one thread makes sense and eliminates the problem of chasing all over the forum to find items of this type. so here a couple in my collection

OK tell me how did you get that still shot of the tele then, something i have thought of doing for a long time but have no idea where to start, i did see a bit of it when the heroes ambushed a so called german truck which was a Bedford MW

Richard F you will probably recall this one i think it was based at your old depot, i took the shot in the layby at the Hare and Hounds on the A20 its towing a cabless S26 dump truck in NATO white possibly from the engineers at Maidstone

This ex tank transporter is interesting i think it was one of the small batch converted by the army for draw bar haulage with concrete blocks mounted where the fifth wheel would have been and from demob had found a new life as a civvy recovery. I cant make out the name on the headboard but the building is owned John Wise agriculture engineers

This photo is interesting, it would appear to be of military spec and probably export and has many feature differences to the British army model. It is taken in Boughtons yard their to have a VM 16 winch fitted and there pattern body, wonder where it went

Now the burning question Alan where did they all end up especially those Polsten CMPs

Heres a teaser for you the K9 as a prototype 6 wheeler, now i dont know if one of the rear axles was trailing or it was a 6x6 interesting project though

somwhere i have a closer view of those CMP with anti aircraft guns on them and when i first saw it i was amazed how many there were, the picture i have is not that good and would have been one from the neqs you have . Is it amongst them

A second section covers the 6 wheeled 0854 models, well illustrated on fine art paper the auther deserves support for taking the steps to produce and publish this book. A question, i have been chasing info on military vehicles for more years than i now care to remember and somethings still remain unanswered. For instance this Mack NR4 tank transporter was issued in reasonable numbers to the British army in the desert from 1940, i am aware that as its payload was only 18 tons and therefore limited and that most were eventually converted to general cargo trucks, i have only seen photos of the transporter vehicle in factory photos. Surely some photos were taken of them in action in the middle east but i have yet to find one can anyone alter that situation

Excellent photos Alan you can keep this type of photo runnig for as long as you like, all of these awnsers my request in the pig thread any Leyland Martians amongst them

Super photos Alan are there many vehicle photos in the neq collection such as artillery tractors

The horse drawn wagon, do i detect the remains of a hot tar container notice the bottom sides are angled and there seems to be a couple of outlets on the rear shot just a thought

Another on the bridging truck
