  4. Greetings one and all , Calling all ,or indeed any owners of these lovely but frustrating old trucks .....I am nearing completion on my restoration of a 1943 veteran "WOT 2 H", and I am in dia need of measurements ,pictures ,drawings ,anything to assist me with obtaining/fabricating a cab canvas and frame .......and if the rear tub canvas and frame dimensions come my way with them ,It'll make my year ..... Many thanks in advance for any assistance given ...... Nick B
  5. Hello all , Old twenty parts 100 % as mentioned ,these are the closest to the original you can buy now ,at an affordable price ....especially if your a member of the "FFA" . I have an ex "RN" industrial model N ,straight petrol etc and has taken an age to collect all the rite parts .....Your cast bits ie ,head lamp brackets ,battery tray etc ,perhaps even your industrial "Nato" hitch will be found with Martin Turner @ cox and turner (again mentioned) .......Have a chair handy as you may need one when it comes to price . If you wish to private message me concerning any thing ,please do .... I can send you some pictures of mine if required ?? . You will have to determine your year of manufacture as to the type of hand brake lever you require ,earlier models (pre war) had the pawl rod running down the outside of the lever ....Later ones were pressed tin with the rod running within the lever . I hope all this waffle is of some use ......
  6. Hello Gordon, May I enquire into your 2 ,900 x 16 bar tread tyres please ? ,cost etc .........If they are still available of course . Kind Regards Nick
  7. My word that is some find ,I can not believe just how clean and original it is .......Lucky chap your friend .Can't help but ask ,although off the topic .......I to am looking for such a body for my WOT 2 restoration ,could I be so bold as to request some more pictures with some measurements please via a "pm",as I have pretty much resigned myself to having to build one now .I do so hope you won't be offended by my boldness in asking ???
  8. Hello Andy , Thanks to you and all for your welcoming messages ......... I purchased the truck in late september 2014 from a lovely family down in sussex ,It was found in Southern France a few years prior to there ownership and returned to old Blighty for restoration ,or so I am told .It appears to have served a working life after it's active service gaining a fixed cab with a roof and full doors .I have some pictures of which I shall include shortly ,but I have now totally stripped for restoration after getting it running and driving ........what a machine .Which brings me to asking for some help regarding knowledge , I have uncovered it's original factory green paint but am struggling to match it ,closest I have got to it is "Bronze Green" ? Was there a standard Green ? ,Plus I'd love to get in touch with someone who could help me research it's Z number and first contract details ,and dating the old beast ........Thanks for your time in advance ha ha Regards Nick
