bramblealan Posted May 3, 2010 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Hello! Just a quick note to introduce myself!... My name is Alan, I am currently living in Grimsby...with my small Lurcher. Drive class 2 multi drop for a living, have a passion for the open road!! Over the past 12 years or so, I have been the proud and lucky (albeit, usually short term!) owner of several classic and military vehicles... Started in 1998 with a Bedford SB bus, then progressed to a 1953(?) Austin K9 wireless box....followed some time later by a 1968 Bedford RL GS truck.....briefly owned a 1960 J type Bedford spirling bodied van.....and latterly (2 years ago now) another K9 wireless box and a 1972 Bedford TK horsebox! Currently I don't have a vehicle (not counting my escort van!!) but am possibly looking to buy a 1971 registered Bedford RL......seems to be mostly there, runs, starts and stops! But would benefit from new windscreens (both sides) as the frames are rotten and glass is cracked...Also (typically RL) both doors are badly rotten at the bottom and would, in an ideal world be completely replaced...any suggestions as to sourcing these parts very welcome....... Anyway....this was meant to be a short introduction and has turned into quite a ramble!!!:nut: To finish...glad to be on board and look forward to potentially interesting correspondance....
