You should have seen the Bride! she wanted a tank and her dad told her it was impossible due to special licenses etc, so it was a total surprise!
I took them for a high speed blast around a field between leaving the Church and arriving at the Pub - I'm still getting grass seeds out of my hair/ears/other places!
I could hear the shrieking from the turret over the engine!
Ha Ha Brilliant.
A Day they will remember

Bet the Kids loved that.

East Dorset, that's why I asked. You're not too far away.
Not to far for me to come and pick up any panels Sean
-
Wincanton Sean.
Where you from Sean.
-
Inner wings I don't have. If you'd asked me 14 years ago I had some spare cabs!
Where in Somerset are you, John?
Wincanton Sean.

They need new seams welding on that bolts to wings and one is full of filler, just thought id try and get some better ones before trying to restore them
Looked at the inner wings today, they need a bit of work done to them as well
-
I understand. I thought you might mean that panel, it was the reference to grille that threw me.
That could probably be made fairly easily.
How bad are the grilles you have?

John, it's possible we might have a spare grille panel, I'll have a look.
I don't understand what you mean by lower front grille panel, they aren't split vertically. Got a photo?

Terrierman, if you are new to the MV scene - welcome!
BTW - I always fancied a K9 as I had a ride in an RAF Ambulance version over 50 years ago!
Sadly I have nowhere to store one now
Hi Larry,
Thank You,

John, it's probably 61 BG 80 badly stamped; BG would be in age / sequence for a K9 whereas RG would be a much later vehicle. BC is too early for a K9, I think.
If it helps typically a K9 would start life in deep bronze green gloss, then later in life ('70s) would go matt NATO green and matt black camouflage, finally ending up in plain matt NATO green if they stayed in service long enough. RAF ones could be blue/grey from new, and I've seen ones that went to the middle east in the '50s / '60s in matt light stone or matt light stone and matt black camouflage.
Thank You Sean.

Hi all.
I think I'm posting this in the right place.. hopefully.
Anyhow I was lucky enough to take my jeep across the channel to Normandy this June with a splendid bunch of guys called Ranger Reanactments.
One of the chaps, 'Jamie' Made this short film that kinda captures the spirit of the trip, hope you all like it.
There will be a longer film out soon with more content and some veterans interviews too which I cant wait to see.
Jamie 'Spielburg' is working on it..
Skelly..
PS if you see this exact text on another ww2 forum, its just me copy n pasting n being lazy..
Very Enjoyable bit of filming
