    my opinnion is that they made a very good deal after all

    even thought it looks quite gloomy project at the first sight

    i´m sure that all heavy metal / softskin enthusiasts in this forum

    consider it more attractive than the broken 10 000 000 $ ming - dynasty vase

    and

    one important thing

     

    it was government auction and it has legal papers

     

    originally it was bought from germany 1944 so all bought german stuff stayed in here

    german property, captured vehicles, airplanes, shipps and engines etc equipment

    had to send to russia 1945-1952 (war reparations) after Lappland war 1944- 1945

    by the way

     

    nowadays if you go to Golan heights Syria to buy "fully loaded" pzkfw IV

    .... it is quite possible that your loose head comes back in the same container with your panzer IV

    is it so that four digits tells

    for example

    0110. (first three)

    is Scout Car Liaison Ferret and the fourth digit is for upgrades

    for example

    0112. ....

     

    then

     

    last four digits are for Mk and and Radio Equipment

    for example

    .4001 ........... it looks this is Clansman

     

    is it so that ?

     

    0112 . 4001 is Scout Car Liaison Ferret Mk1/1 ( F/F Clansman)

    (+ 7.62 (GPMG) and NVS)

    i´m from finland, retired mp ( wo) and i have two mk 1 ferrets ...

     

    canadian -54 (54-82550)

    and british -59

     

    british one is quite complete and is (nearly) in running condition

    canadian one needs oil tank and loooot of work :wow:

     

    any kind of help would be great. how to identify my -59 ferret wd number?

    unknown wd- number maybe 02 CC ??

    (both wd numbers are gone, sandblasted by mod and then number places repainted black )

    in the middle of the rear panel i found convoy ? stencils 43 AP

    does anyone know what it is? or would have pictures of a similar

    stencils were between layers of paint (atleast 7-8 layers)

    first bronze green , matt green , nato green, desert tan,brown,black?, white and desert tan

    ferret has night vision drivers hatch

    maybe my cdn ferret served in 8th Canadian Hussars (8CH) ??? and has been in germany in the sixties
