This 'photo is about 6 or 7 years old. I did briefly have a drive of the ill fated Militant.

Very interesting. Now my Iltis is in a garage, I think this is less likely. I used to get some huge spiders in it and a tramp slept in it one night - or a drunk; no one is sure...it must have been blimmin' uncomfortable.

Just a respectful reminder that you may wish to mount a bird nest patrol over the next few weeks and discourage, at a very early stage, any attempt by some bird to put your MV temporarily off the road by turning it into an all wheel drive nesting box.

Some people don't seem aware of the huge advantage in having one's own ambulance. If you become involved in an accident while driving...no need to call for an ambulance cos you're already in one. Beat that !

It would be lovely to think a few Militant tippers have survived but sadly I should think that after leaving Ruddington most were worked to death in a quarry or on a motorway construction site in the 1970's. They were just too useful.

This is what they actually did in the British Army, hauling heavy plant for the Royal Engineers NOT transporting tanks as many people would have you believe. Not quite as glamorous but lets stick to the facts.
