  1. Even on its side, it's too wide for a container, unless you took the wheels off or something. Getting it in and out of the container would be a nightmare though. - If you were going to that trouble, you could probably strip off the wheel stations and fenders, then it would fit in the right way, which may even be feasible if you used an open sided container.

If you are actually thinking of shipping one, you're probably better off getting it shipped as a vehicle.

  2. Hi Richard,

If that is an open offer, can you please let me know what I should be using in my Saracen?

  3. The MK 6 Saracen was a MK 3 that had extra armour added and a few other upgrades, itself a MK 2 with reverse flow cooling. Externally, the most telling are that the MK 6 does not have a rear gun ring or roof window, Has a round flange around the base of the turret, has a squared cover over the fuel filter and has heavy armour plates welded to the sides. Internally, the MK 6 is fitted with brown spall liners.

  4. Thanks Guys,

The Saracen is a MK5 APC (GPMG). I've already decided that I will be fitting Clansman series gear, probably a PRC-352 and a VRC-353. I would have liked to have used the standard support tray, but since most of it appears to be missing anyway, I will probably fabricate something up, based on the Ferret's Clansman mount.

I need to get my head around the power distribution setup installed in my Saracen (it appears a little dodgy) and work out if I need to use the Power Distrubution No 8 box that I have floating around in the back of it, as I only have one set of batteries, but I do have a 30V, 300w generator set, which I unserstand were not normally fitted to the APCs.

    Cheers,

    Terry
