I’ll get a chance to when I repaint the bike and will let you know with the luck I’m having its probably a yammykusisaki and not a Triumph !

Hi Ron it did come from Armours and to be honest I was more curious than anything as I too considered the kick starter. It’s just under 3” but all good otherwise would you happen to know a source for the Olive Drab paint and which black paint would be appropriate for the silencer I bought the bike when I was in India and love the dark green but am considering reverting to Olive. I’m assuming any bikes sent to India and the far east would originally have been Olive. the silencer is incorrect - possibly from another Triumph but more likely a bullet as the bracket is flat and has been been bent to make it fit

Hi I’ve just purchased an exhaust system but the silencer seems a little narrow - The diameter is just over 70mm. Is this correct?

Hi, Would you know if that paint you are using would be fine on the engine itself and if so, details of the paint and supplier. I have just started on a 3HW and am keen to paint it the back to the way I found it - ie engine, gearbox etc all painted. Bike came from India and I'm quite sure the paint on the engine wasn't any type of heat resistant paint but seems to have fared very well. Thanks

Hi all, I'm Kevin Wells from Hounslow,Middlesex. Fell into the world of vintage bikes after a long love affair with my Kawasaki Z1000. Picked up a couple of bikes in India during my travels and am into my first re-build. I have started on my Triumph 3HW and have developed quite a headache after endless trawling through the net for a paint colour. I tried olive drab but have decided to keep the colour as close to the colour it had when I bought it - a dark green. The nearest match would seem to be deep bronze green and I would like to ask for any opinions as to whether the far east colours were drab, satin or gloss. Any other information would be much appreciated. Thank you
