I was stunned too... but after re-reading I think you should read it as :
prices :
20 of m6=£3
20 of m8=£6
20 of m10=£8
20 of m12 =£10
20 of m16 =£12
"prices20 of m6=£320 of m8=£620 of m10=£820 of m12 =£1020 of m16 =£112"
THe other ad on thre is slightly cheaper.

On the M40 yesterday 22-6-17 heading North around J16

Here is Part 1 for you.

Latest issue of Old Glory has a feature on the Bedford R Series.
May be worth a look while in Smiths or wherever.

Just to bump this topic.
We are looking for any information on this locos service in the Middle East during WW2 from 1943 and upto repatriation in 1947.
Can anyone supply any detail please?
Otherwise we have had no progress on this loco as other vehicles have had to take priority.
That may change in the near future though.
Thanks in advance.

Could that be an example of what happens when you do not have a rotating tow hook?
-
Especially when off road at least one of the tow hooks needs to be free to rotate or else damage can result.
Initially with the ring twisting in the tow hook possibly forcing it open.

In the 70's - 80's Barton Stacey was the location of the Map making branch of the RE's

Not sure about earlier vehicles but MK's with POL pods used to have to be earthed by a stake when in use.
Could this be the stowage point for a Earthing stake?
Is there an odd looking bolt with a bit of wire nearby?
Failing that the tip of a GS Spade looks like it would fit nicely in the slot.

Dick Kerr There is a page on Wiki but it is not playing at the moment.
This should be a similar loco at a museum in France.

Turning off the A64 this morning about 08.30
Possibly off onto the A169 and heading for Pickering / Whitby.
Series Land Rover LWB with trailer.
Dark Blue lettered up for ROYAL NAVY.
Is there a Mil vehicle rally in the area?

Binned could be fitted out with storage racking.
16 BVD - 16 ? Base Vehicle Depot

I see ample lubrication is being used. ;)
Not in WD40 form either.
Looks very clean compared to other vehicles.
Must be good stuff that tar.

I googled the layout and these files came up.
As for vehicles being of the right type.
The basic premise to me is If its a military layout and you have a military model dated within 10 years then I don't think the average punter would know the difference.
I probably wouldn't.

Not forgetting the 12t Plasser as well.
The 45T Ransomes, however, is now resident at Grosmont looking a bit forlorn.
Part of a WW2 order for Railcranes.
Thanks for the comments

Our Groups Cole's rail crane is listed in there.

Same chassis, I believe.
Chap's got to keep his rocks somewhere...
Just got to watch where he gets them off.

Early 80s and Puttees could still be found.

Ok so you have got EMEI (AUST) VEHICLE N 403, I think it is telling you the same as in TSD 702 but that confuses the issue with a preamble about having previously set the point gaps on No.1, it then moves on to adjusting from No. 6.
The segment method is described in EMER POWER S 523. You have to watch it as there are diagrams for No. 1 Mk 2 & Mk 2/1 for both that differ slightly & equivalent Mk 2 & Mk 2/1 for 8-cylindeer as well.
I think there is something odd on the Pig B60 in that it hasn't got a panel to see the timing marks. I've not had to set the synchro, but after 4 head changes I quite often loose where I am. So when assembled I put a coat hanger in No.1 cylinder feel when it is sort of TDC then rotate the rotor arm on shaft to point to No. 1 in the cap. Then try running it, if it doesn't run then I turn the distributor through 360 degrees.
When it runs & is warmed up I adjust the timing for best smooth running. I've never done flywheel marks, strobes, points opening & lights on/off. Modern fuel is not the same as it was in the 1950s so setting things to those standards seems to me to be a bit inappropriate in this day & age.
But that would surely bring you back to where you started from?
-
Is that the thing that you were meant to be able to get a cartridge for?
Insert cartridge into casing and bang a fitted probe built into the cap, through then pump.
Never knew about the 300 pumps though.
Cartridges about 30mm dia x 50 long
Never saw them used or any of the cartridges.

By the same token.
If you use new Nylocs do not be tempted to reuse them on a safety critical item.
Use New.
