  1. no orignal date plate found on it . I have seen it there is no cutting on welding done to the chassis or cross members. Reading the last thread before this one it, it could very well be original. If you look how the canvas made i have never seen anything like it made so well definitely, with all respect to the canvas maker, not by the current suppliers of canvas hoods an tilts.

Hope we get some more posts that will help

  2. I shipped last two year several pallets with kit too canada. No problem but takes months to get license. Even for a old not working 19set you need a strategic goods export license just that one takes 2 months. But first thing you need is an import license before you can apply for an export license. This is all for the netherland i don't belief it will be much different for the UK.

  3. Sorry to hear that Mike has passed away. I last saw him at the MVT camp in Normandy 5 years ago with his wife, who I believe passed away a few years ago. He always had time for a chat.

That will be ten or more years ago. Because Carol passed away nearly 10 years ago time flies

  4. MIKE is no more :morning: , the big armour collector from swindon in the 70-80's is no more. Very well know by the old MV collectors this charming man will be missed. After he sold his company and collection he had a very happy life in France. Luckily he was over to our place for the 70 years Arnhem celebrations. There is a remembrance service in Dion next Saturday at 14:00

  5. As Aston man I know all the trouble with alu engines and anti freeze of the early days. All DB5/4/6 and early V8 had major problems with the wet liners fitted in the Alu block, that is where the alu is corrodated away at the bottom, needing welding and machining to fit the wet liners again. All together pretty expensive, so if you buy and old alu engine becarefull.

  6. I don't know but with Dingo's you can take a bevelbox apart and put it back together with the bevel gear on the other site and this will make it fit the other site.

One day I meet someone who had fitted all bevel boxes in the wrong position in the Dingo. With the lever forward it move backward and visa versa. By changing all four bevel gears it moved forward when forward selects etc.

So if you have a dingo you can do with one spare bevel box to replace all bevel boxes in the dingo if one brakes
